Mayor Mamdani and a child play with Legos while looking very serious and concentrated. The child is impossibly adorable and wearing tiny blue glasses.
No interruptions, please. Weβre building universal child care.

i don't think i've ever worked anywhere where i didn't experience racism, even as a freelancer.

we have a such a pervasive CYA culture and it's not helping any project, product or team improve.
a willingness to take accountability for your own errors in a workplace makes you a target for corporate pile-on, and i don't like that.
that is fair! lol
karl urban aged how we thought jason momoa was gon age.
listen. it was our childhood, our history, a cautionary rallying cry for our future, likeβ¦
there hasnβt been a single day since February 8 when this hasnβt run through my head at least once.
he really was not there to play with us.
i really love that Julie Andrews is a) still with us and b) still doing this show. i hope they back a brinks truck up to her villa every single season for these voiceovers.
also: the people were yearning for superior acting, so [redacred] came back to bless us all.
the peopleβs champ!
in other news, though, the budget for the queen's wigs in the second half of this season must be astronomical.
i can't believe this season of bridgerton is tryna convince us that benedict and sophie's story is "romantic." like... what in the world?
that being said, here's my latest. stacialbrown.substack.com/p/chromebooks
i'm trying to work on my writing discipline, which means that i'll be sharing more writing there (hopefully). i can't promise that it will be good writing, though. i'm rusty and i think i'm a bit disconnected from the voice i'd been cultivating up until a few years ago.
this song just randomly popped into my head and why does it hold up so well? they made such sturdy songs in the '80s. youtu.be/IIOJdMdS56k?...
wow. my mom-self really popped out here. lol
i just can't help but be grateful that miles caton's entree into hollywood was with a cohort that ryan coogler curated. you can tell he came to that production by way of people who'd enveloped him in lifelong love, joy, and care. you can also tell that that cast really preserved that for him.
i'm still not over sinners just like i'm still not over the first creed just like i'm still not over the first black panther film. there's always something else to be awestruck about.
by contrast, buddy guy sounds like he's lived five lives. and has. the two of them together is just... ugh. give bobby carter his flowers and a raise. www.npr.org/people/30298...
it reminds me of the early sinners interviews when they were saying that delroy adlibbed the humming in the car scene and miles didn't know what to do bc it wasn't in the script. he didn't know how to access that pain. which is great. but he was also teachable and tried to follow the improv.
miles caton is so sweet. on "travelin'," you can tell he comes from church and that he's still super-young. buddy wanted him to adlib but he didn't have the life experience yet to do it. i bet everything he's done in the last year and a half has been such an accelerated education.
what?!?? π
Audis are so gorgeous. π thatβs such a cool plan, to stick with the make and model that work.
yaaasss! come on, honda civic! i know thatβs gotta be a very reliable ride. Iβve read toyotas and hondas are the sturdiest makes of all.
i got those here: www.fashionnova.com/products/hom... :)
also: thank you for reading!
omg, it's definitely predatory, but aside from that first car i owned, i've never been able to afford to purchase one without financing.
