Finished series two tonight. Not sure any of it makes any sense if you think about it for more than five seconds, but itβs good to switch the old noggin off for an hour sometimes. And Ron Perlman is in it. Now onto series three.

Just when I thought The Lowdown couldnβt get any better they go and add Tommy Lee Jones to season two - nowβs as good a time as any to watch S1 on Disney+.
Iβm on a roll with the βguess the Letterboxd rating based on the Amazon thumbnailβ game - correctly guessed 2.3 for Worldbreaker and 2.9 for some other forgettable thing the other month. Too easy.
happy 40th birthday to Highlander, one of my favorite movies of all time
Finally getting into The Capture and itβs pretty addictive nonsense so far.

Cover of Francis Spuffordβs Nonesuch
Braved the rain for a Francis Spufford signing for his new novel, Nonesuch - Angels roam a burning London during the Blitz as statues offer the secret of time travel⦠or something.
Canβt wait to see the final version of Gregory Widenβs Highlander script as a graphic novel later this year - fun fact, it was me who suggested this might be a something to consider publishing, Iβm glad other people agreed! I also spoke to Widen for my new book.
Cheers!
Paperback of Fatale by Jean-Patrick Manchette
Iβm enjoying reading some short crime novels at the moment, a Richard Stark followed by Jean-Patrick Manchetteβs Fatale. Both featured small town crimes, though Fatale is a bit gorier. Next up is Manchetteβs Nada.
Thanks Olly!
Done. Excited.
Isnβt it great? I need to watch it again soon.
Thanks Justin, it was a lot of fun to revisit the film.

I believe so, they tried various reboot ideas. Adam Ricketts was going to be Lovejoy at one point.
I think McShane is long gone from this.
Lovejoy's getting a reboot. They're going back to the novels, which I don't remember enjoying when I tried them in the 90s, but that was probably because they were so jarring compared to the series (which I love).
Iβll give it a blast!
Fruitvale Station, Run Silent, Run Deep, Ninja III: The Domination and Defiance are now available to watch on your favorite services
A few old newbies to watch on Prime.
Cheers Steve!
Thanksβ¦ I think! Hopefully youβll enjoy this one as well.
Thanks Iain, this oneβs a bit shorter, but I definitely got some new stuff in there!
Thank you!
Thanks Paul, letβs try for that second screening for the 40th! Iβm sure we can get Ms Gillan along..
Yes! Really exciting news.
If you've not read "A Kind of Magic", @jonmelville.bsky.social's first #Highlander book, I recommend grabbing a copy of that too.
