I understand perfectly, saying Arsenal have been allowed to use the injuries as an excuse while we aren’t just is nonsense though. The two aren’t the same at all

By suggesting the injuries are the explanation for us being 16th, you’re excusing the real reason

The injuries don’t explain the league results though which is the point, so it is excusing the real reason we’re 16th

By saying that we should be allowed the “injuries and small squad” explanation for being 16th, you are excusing it. It’s one of the biggest underperformances in the PL in recent years so the criticism is justified

It’s not an incorrect explanation though. Injuries and a smaller squad don’t explain why we’re 16th and on course for 41 points

Yeah completely. I am not really expecting anything major from us this window but signing a LB or CB should be the bare minimum given our situation and don’t think it should be that hard. Top level attackers is a lot harder
