I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

It's not the end of the world. I can still draw on paper and on my kinda crappy android tablet, but the frustration is still there staring me in the face every day.

Hate to say but I regret a lot of things about my latest tablet purchase. Getting used to the shortcut remote instead of a strip of hotkeys on the side of the tablet hasn't been smooth, the 4k resolution makes Krita look like poop from a butt, and linux doesn't like per-monitor scaling for reasons?

Idk if there's a conflict but I can't cleanly uninstall either. Not sure why. I'm very very tired of the hodgepodge ways of installing things on linux, and of them becoming nearly invisible unless you know where to look for them.

I just want it to be ready and working when I turn it on. Having to adjust the monitor and calibration each time is immensely frustrating.

I tried installing OpenTabletDriver and that was easier to calibrate at first, but doesn't want to work anymore.

I really want to get back to making digital art pieces, but ever since switching to linux (pop os) last year there's been so much friction every time I turn my tablet on to draw. The official XP PEN driver forgets what monitor my pen input goes to EACH TIME I turn it on.
