I wouldn’t record children reacting, as to me that would be an invasion of privacy. When writing for children, the length of the story needs to be remembered. When reading or recording the cadence and speed needs to be remembered. I cannot speak for other writers, of course. This is just what I do.
I am a parent so have read hundreds of stories in my lifetime. I also write and record stories for my podcast.

I ran track and played baseball when I was young. Baseball, not softball, & was on a coed team (as the only girl). I outran & outplayed the boys.
Women & girls are tough. Period.
No. They run like out of shape, lazy, cop wannabes. Don’t use girls as a put down.
You know what I really dislike? When you set a meeting with someone for contract work, because THEY reached out to you and need help, but they don’t bother to call you at the appointed time. It’s just unprofessional.
