Happy International Women’s Day! The only thing I’ve done to mark the day so far is assign the name ‘Rex’ (a boy name) to our new Aldi robotic vacuum assistant. Not much by way of feminist activism, but better than nothing I guess…

A year ago today, ex-Cyclone Alfred hit my city.The wind was bad in the afternoon (see tawnies in vid), and then much worse overnight. I felt deep dread about the tawnies’ chances of surviving it out there - it was wild. Was gobsmacked to see them all back the next morning, bedraggled but ok (pic) 🩶
