I think a lot of us get hope wrong. Hope, I do not believe, is an emotion. In fact, hope makes space for lots of emotions to exist alongside it. You can DO hope scared, angry, sad etc...
Hope doesn't find us. We make hope through action and struggle. It's a practice of living and is re-made daily.
Abolish ICE, abolish DHS, redistribute the other agencies, prosecute actual criminals, such as people who commit execution-style murders of Americans in broad daylight.
The federal government is executing American citizens in the middle of the street for exercising their constitutional right to freedom of speech.
This is tyranny. No free people can accept this kind of government. We need to bring an end to the Trump regime.
It’s hard to accurately describe what is happening in Minneapolis without sounding crazy.
Unmarked rental vans all over the city, with people in military gear and no id jumping out of them to take captive anyone who looks nonwhite or who makes political speech they disagree with.
So moved by the people of Minnesota who—drawing on LA, Portland, Chicago, DC etc—are writing a shining new chapter in the history of nonviolent resistance.
The rest of us need to be taking notes—and helping them!

STOP conceding that Trump can legitimately expand grab by deploying baseless claims of “emergency.”
There was NO EMERGENCY to justify tariffs.
There was NO “INVASION” to justify this migrant crackdown.
And there is NO “EMERGENCY” that justifies military takeover of local law enforcement in D.C.
One thing that will become increasingly clear as DHS starts spending the billions they got in the Big Ugly is that a lot of this will go to pay off favored contracts.
