Scribbles from last night, I am thinking about taking drawing seriously this year
It's one book, separateed into 2 parts for ease of use
Really grateful for this gift, happy holidays yo u all, take some time off.
The fear of not making it back with what you already got is a strong one, woth making a game around it. How much u need to make it ?
I think this is a very original idea, it deserves consideration. Since you asked for 0$ i will give it you, don't thank me ๐. But srsly really awesome ๐ก
the premise is awesome, super attention-grabbing! but iโd need more details about the mechanics to fully picture how it plays. since youโre confident in dev and know you need an artist, iโd say 2โ3k for now. could imagine giving more if the gameplay vision was clearer!
great pitch! Cozy Ventures is perfect for $30k and about 2 years for a solo dev. oracle style exploration with cozy vibes and a loyal dog? iโm all in! ๐
pitch me your dream game in 2 lines + how much $$$ youโd need to make it ๐ธ๐ฎ iโll rate it by deciding how much iโd โfundโ you letโs hear your best ideas! #gamedev #indiedev
This is such a beautiful way to see it, I'm stealing it.
My thoughts exactly
Maybe the movie industry can learn a thing or two from Secret level, give a chance yo something new, i personally am tired of superheroes โ ๏ธ
Next cinema age is for games stories
This secret level show is really something
je ne croyais pas qu'il y en avait ร Bordeaux, j'ai pourtant cherchรฉ. Merci !

des infos sur le gamejam ?
main and options menus are pretty simple elements in any game, and yes, they should be straightforward.
but UX/UI goes beyond that. games need good ux/ui within their mechanics too. as for your kojima remark, have you tried Death stranding? itโs notorious for its tons of menus being confusing.
youโre making some really good points here
itโs not as simple as that, style is hugely important too. take kojima, for example. heโs notorious for prioritizing style over simplicity, and while it sometimes confuses people, itโs also what makes his games so unique.
(simple != better) always
i like Hades, Stardew valley, and Hollow knight, they strike the perfect balance between beauty and ease of use. on the flip side, though i like it, Death Stranding leans more on beauty than simplicity, but that's a kojima thing, i guess ๐
whatโs more important: a beautiful UI thatโs slightly confusing, or a basic UI that works flawlessly? game design is full of tough choices like this. what do you think? ๐๐ฎ
the original just in case anyone wants it
just looked it up and it costs 120 euros, is it that good ?
I guess i am not that pro of gamer yet, getting there
i am ashamed to show mine now
Will do this later today ๐ฆฆ

Done at last! My article on why UX, especially menus, can make or break games. Huge thanks to everyone who shared their thoughts. Hope you enjoy this read!
