Okay, so here's the write up! Thanks to @emarl.bsky.social, I figured out that Firefox was causing the issue.
After changing an obscure setting, things now work properly. I never thought it'd be THE BROWSER with all the colorspaces you have to go through to get a photo done.
I think it's fixed!

So this is a bit maddening!
It seems when I upload photos from my PC they end up de-saturated and with reduced contrast.
If I upload the same photo from my phone, it's fine.
If I look at the same photo on my PC after uploading it with my phone, it has the correct amount of sat and contrast.
Another copy of the original images for comparison purposes.
Partially a test to see this’ll have the same problem and partially to show the difference in color!
I didn’t realize there was such a color discrepancy between this post and the originals. Not sure why that is. 😅
