Focusing on carbon while sidelining biodiversity is a catastrophic mistake.
Biodiversity isn’t optional. It’s fundamental to our very existence.

Another beautiful autumnal Sunday at Superior Street Prairie, just after the first snow of the season. Stewards can be seen here walking a fire break put in for an upcoming Rx burn, while discussing management of encroaching aspen and black locust trees and admiring showy goldenrod seed heads 🤩
Phew, definitely inspiring to hear you were new to this once too! Did not grow up in a house where a lot of manual labor was done and am learning (and failing) a lot embarking on this restoration work journey 🙂
