It's been awhile since I watched it, should probably revisit it to see if I'd still enjoy it.
Cromartie held up pretty well on a recent re-watch and it was of a similar era. Though it didn't cross the same lines that Ghost Stories did.

I like both Hellsing and Ultimate, and would probably combine both of them honestly. Ultimate is the better all rounded production, but the original adaptation has far better music.
