Took a lot of bug photos today while out on a walk/testing a cpl lens on my camera (continued effort to try and solve glare/haze issues without replacing my 15 yr old camera... cause a $1500+ expense isn't in the budget)
workin' on some wallet tooling patterns to replace the crappy 10 year old wallet of mine that's falling apart. Gonna do some tests this weekend with the tools I have and see how feasible the detail is.

We'll find her a good home 🫡♥ We're thankfully in an ok position to care for her until we can find her a home or get her into the AHS. It's frustrating to have a street cat in the house (sequestered to the bathroom indefinitely) without shots while we have other pets, but just way the cards fell 🤷♂️
we've been contacting rescues and shelters (and went to animal control but no space for her bc she's not 'sick or injured'). One of the rescues said it's kitten season so they're all swamped ;( I know if she has an owner her odds are better if we can get her to a shelter, but it's feeling unlikely.
Yep, did that day one. The only 2 things they would do for her is the chip reading, and prescribing us flea/tick/parasite meds because we have other pets and made a fuss. She is unfortunately chipless and none of our searching + putting up notices has netted any results yet :(
it's rare we come across a friendly stray. she's really skinny with some scrapes and cuts so we didn't think she was doing great out there. she's stoked to be in a house again with her own fuzzy blankets and a litter box, and lots of affection + cuddles🥺 she was less stoked about the flea bath lol
we're caring for her while we try to find the owner/a new home, the vet won't let us make an appt until 5-10 days pass looking for the owner + we say we'll keep her. Which sucks, bc we can't check to see if she has any underlying conditions or if she's spayed, or get her shots asap for our safety.

Oreo cookie's n cream cake for a friend's birthday today! :-)
I also tried to make oreos from scratch, but it turns out dutch processed cocoa powder just kind of tastes.. burnt 😅 it's just a very dark bitter chocolate so... lesson learned! Need to use a much lower cocoa% next time i try. I'm bringing them with but they're not on the cake lol

Finished embroidering the coin pouch for my tattoo artist! I made hers just a bit larger than mine, so she can fit a larger phone/wallet in there as needed.
