I heard from Wisconsinites, and they told me we had to make real investments in child care in this budget.
I'm proud our final budget includes over $360 million to support child care statewide, a third of which will provide direct payments to providers.

BREAKING: Gov. Evers announces 2025 Year of the Kid Bipartisan Budget Deal
BREAKING: I declared 2025 the Year of the Kid, and after months of negotiations, I'm proud to announce today our bipartisan budget agreement invests in our kids at every age and every stage, from early childhood to K-12 schools to our higher education institutions, and more. 🧵
You have a commander-in-chief telling the American military that an American city is under "invasion and third world lawlessness...we're not going to let that happen."
Truly extraordinary weaponization of the military against the President's domestic opponents.
The concept of compromise is simple—everyone gets something they want, and no one gets everything they want.
I will always try to do the right thing—and compromise in order to get good things done. My statement on Republicans’ backing out of our bipartisan budget talks.
From 📍 Superior to 📍 Racine, we're fixing the darn roads, Wisconsin!
My administration has proven time after time that smart investments can make sure state government is efficient, effective, and works—and works better—for the Wisconsinites we serve.
And Republicans have shown they want to make it as difficult as possible for us to do so. 🧵
Gov. Evers smiles with U.S. Flag, state of Wisconsin Flag, and Pride Flag flying behind him.
Today, we raised the Pride Flag over the Wisconsin State Capitol for the seventh year in a row because, here in Wisconsin, we celebrate our LGBTQ friends and neighbors.
You are family here.
You belong here.
You are welcome home here.
Happy Pride, Wisconsin! 🏳️🌈
🚨 It's time for my annual Pothole Patrol tour, Wisconsin. 🚧
Since 2019, we've improved more than 8,600 miles of roads statewide. And we aren’t stopping there. You’re darn right I’ll be out filling potholes and fixing the darn roads.
Gov. Evers rolls up his sleeves while wearing a safety vest while on pothole patrol.
The Wisconsin DOT has hundreds of construction projects planned this summer, so let's work together to keep workers safe on the roads.
You'll find me wearing #Orange4Safety and fixing the darn roads when I kick off my annual #PotholePatrol tour next week!
DOGE is red tape: adding layers of unnecessary review on services they know nothing about in order to slow down services
“To a regime that only recognizes strength, Gov. Evers retorted that MAGA thuggish behavior does not scare him. ‘I am not afraid. I have never once been discouraged from doing the right thing, and I will not start today.’”

Trump and Musk are trying to gut the agency responsible for ensuring the health and safety of Wisconsinites and Americans. It’s dangerous and reckless.
I’ll always fight to help keep our kids, families, and communities healthy and safe, promise you that.

Trump and Musk's dangerous cuts will:
❌ hurt our response to bird flu
❌ end programs that help people afford utility bills
❌ make it harder to help folks in mental health crisis
❌ effectively end the Head Start program
I'm fighting back. Read more ➡️

NEW: I just announced a new lawsuit against the Trump Administration’s reckless cuts that will hurt our kids, families, and seniors and make it harder to keep Wisconsinites and our communities healthy and safe—all to help pay for tax cuts for the rich.
My statement ⬇️
NEW: Over 20 organizations today come out against the Trump Administration’s apparent threats to arrest Gov. Evers.
Already in Wisconsin - and across the country - the response to these threats has been clear:
We stand with @govevers.wisconsin.gov
I stand with @govevers.wisconsin.gov.
Yesterday, a top Trump Administration official made an apparent threat to arrest me.
Here’s my message to Wisconsinites. I encourage you to take a few minutes to watch. ⬇️
Tom:
1. Ridiculous that you didn’t bother to reach out to our office.
2. No, the guidance literally did not “tell state employees not to assist ICE.”
3. Asking an attorney to review and verify legal documents like a judicial or administrative warrant is not ”telling employees not to cooperate.”
Well done.
And for those not from Wisconsin/the Upper Midwest & who may not speak fluent Tony Evers, "get it together" and "unconscionable" are five-alarm fires.
NEW: We’re suing to prevent the Trump Administration from cutting millions in federal funding from Wisconsin’s kids and public schools.
These cuts would be devastating for our kids. I’m fighting back to stop these dangerous cuts before they happen.
Less than 24 hours away from the 2025 NFL Draft kickoff in Titletown!
Getting warmed 🆙
No matter what happens in Washington, here in Wisconsin, we’re going to keep working to leave our kids and our grandkids a better, brighter future.
Gov. Evers with Smokey Bear
Is there a better way to spend Earth Day than planting trees with Smokey Bear?
Probably not.
Oh look a mashup you didn’t know you needed
Here's my statement on the Wisconsin Supreme Court's decision to uphold my 400-year veto.
TL;DR: Hell yes! ⬇️
I will continue to stand against efforts to cut Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, or any other program Wisconsin kids, families, seniors, farmers, and veterans depend on every day.
That's a promise.
Trump's Tariffs would raise the cost of: electronics, sugar, clothing, coffee, cars, jewelry, furniture, and more.
President Trump's tariff tax whiplash in Washington will hurt Wisconsin and our working families will pay the price.
At a time when folks are already struggling with rising costs, trade wars will only cause prices to go up on everything from gas to groceries.
