New images of Trumpβs White House ballroom show sweep, scale
https://wapo.st/3ZEJVnJ
I've served on our local Historical Commission & Design Review Board and I teach historic #preservation: this violates every principle of massing, scale, siting
Also abominably ugly & tasteless

I also think - if you inverse England itself, she becomes his mirror. Which speaks volume. I overlayed Wales and England (flipped horizontally) here.

King George III and England's geo-political Cartographic boundaries are GiVInG each other.
Sometimes the state makes the man. Sometimes the man is the literal embodiment of the state.

That was my thought. Or at the very least - HOPE. The videos were all pulled for a while right after it happened or were only showing the weird grainy one from the front at a distance. It will likely fall into the high/low 30s 40s over the next week but even that is still...problematically abysmal.

He was a racist bigot. Call it what it is @npr.org.
"controversy" implies there are disagreements between two reasonable sides. The condemnation of bigotry and racism should not be considered controversial. Be better. This lifetime listener is done with you after months of trash like this.

Publications by Non-Tenure-Track Historians
Since we began publishing in 2019, ContingentΒ has published end-of-year lists of books and articles by non-tenure-track historians released in the past calendar year. To submit something for inclusion...
Haven't received as many contributions as usual for this year's lists--could be many things, but one aspect is surely that our ability to get this in front of people is much diminished. If you know folks whose stuff should be on here, please suggest it! contingentmagazine.org/yearly-pub-l...

Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged.
Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.

"According to the Institute for Policy Integrity. Trump's administration has failed nearly 93% of the time when its agency actions have been challenged in court."
"May not".... 93% of the time they end up in court they lose - because its unconstitutional or they didn't follow policy... We left the realm of "may."
