The thing about Clavicular is that he is so incredibly average looking imo. Like he’s spending all that money and getting all this work done for basically nothing lol. And people are eating it up . I don’t get it lol

I’m having fun ! The chainsaw thing was sick! But it’s not really what I’m looking for from RE.
All of that said, I’m enjoying the game a lot so far. I gave FPS for Grace a shot and I ended up being able to handle it okay. I think I’ll play FPS silent hill after all !
Maybe they were like “we’re gonna give everyone some of what they want and do action and horror focused sections” and like …that’s fine. I’m just sitting here playing 2/3 RE as a stranger and 1/3 of some action shooter as Leon. Feels weird that I would prefer not to spend this time with Leon lol
The village section in OG RE4 is, to me (a tourist), the perfect example of what RE is. A wonderful balance of horror and action in terms of vibes. And the classic resource management and puzzle solving in terms of gameplay. Grace is getting all of that in this game imo. And maybe that’s the point
The Leon sections of RE9 aren’t bad by any means, but I won’t lie - I’m finding myself trying to get them over with to get back to the Grace parts, because they feel more like my understanding of what an RE is.
