I am having way too much fraggin' fun lettering LOBO.

Lovely day. Lettering a new issue of SKottie Young & Jorge Corona's LOBO and listening to Big Wreck. (Ever heard of them? Go listen!) Chugging water. Planning to hit my LCS, Fantasy Zone, later to drop off more copies of D'ORC #1 (2nd print) because they keep running out!

(Clause: If a bunch of you do this, I'm not buying all of them. One of these is fun, 37 of them is a pancake lifestyle that I'm not prepared to embrace.)

Someone make a screen printed shirt like this, and I'll buy one.

How’s the quality of Threadless shirts/merch? I’m a real hard-ass when it comes to graphic tees. I’m old school. Nothing beats ACTUAL screen printing…but I get it that it’s not feasible for print on demand.

Project BNib Shouts Regular is done! 6 versions of every letter, 3 versions of each number, and !, ?, etc. These will swap out as you type. Next, I'll begin the Condensed Reg. version. Then I'll make italics for both. Four fonts in the set. I think I even have a permanent name for these! Stay tuned.

To celebrate I HATE FAIRYLAND's 50th issue, I was asked to design this "old school" team up cover logo treatment that will be used across many Image comics in April!

Lovely day. Weekend emails have been answerred, I've packaged up the latest orders for the Lettering Guide, and I've delivered final files for Elfquest: Siege at Blue Mountain #4 re-mastering. About to letter the 2nd issue of an unannounced DH project.

I have a love/hate relationship with Gibson Les Pauls. They’re too damn heavy (9-10lbs) I’ve played dozens of LPs over the years, but these are the only 3 I’ve ever loved enough to buy. All 3 are from 2007, all versions of the Classic 60s model, and all are very light! 8lbs!

We had a college student die during the blizzard here in RI—because the power was out, he attempted to recharge his phone in his car without first clearing snow away from the exhaust pipe. Poor kid died of carbon monoxide poisoning. Please be extra careful during storms, folks.

RIP, Robert Carradine. Very sad news. As a kid, I LOVED Revenge of the Nerds, and have followed his work ever since. #MentalHealthAwareness

Lovely day. Status update post blizzard: The good news: I am off generator power since electricity was restored late last night. The bad news: There is 30" of snow in my driveway, and a downed tree. So I'm stuck here until my plow guy & his crew can make it here with chainsaws.

Update on Project BNibShouts Regular: Class kerning is done, but the font does not have its basic kerning finished yet (as you can see with some wonky letter pairs below.) In any case, here' the very first look at the glyphs displayed together in sentences.
