Another day, another committee meeting. Bring on recess and an extreme day trip to Dublin - looking forward to visiting the immigration history centre, temple bar, trinity college, ha'penny bridge, molly malone statue and finding some traditional Irish food (and a pint of guiness).

My wife recently got diagnosed with advanced endometriosis (after being led down the garden path by the NHS and my wife's thoughts/feelings being frequently ignored/dismissed). Unfortunately we had to go private for her voice to be heard and a diagnosis made. Improvements needed! :(

Starting off relatively small with a day trip to Dublin. Flight out early morning from Cardiff but return flight is late night into Bristol.

Watching back a recent Senedd Committee meeting on digital in local government. Very interesting. Clear there are many issues that need to be addressed in order to move Wales forward, including a strong need to become more user-focused. One to keep an eye on (if you're a digital nerd like me anyway)

Another interesting insight into political scrutiny and the role of Committees.

Personally I think that there is an inherent bias towards a certain way of taking evidence (oral evidence > report > recommendations) and this needs to be addressed.

It's been a distressing few days. My wife is awaiting an urgent scan for ovarian cancer, and my mental health is taking a battering. It's weird. Sometimes I feel perfectly fine, then someone will say something kind, like asking how I am and I'll just burst into tears. #MentalHealthAwareness 😞

I am shocked. SHOCKED I tell you.
