The last several months have been quite the test. I'm still working on things here and there. The next avatar base is still getting chiseled away at. My main project is also in a very good place. I'm excited to share when I can.

I got on this platform to follow ppl and post when I make stuff so I guess I am obligated to post I published a thing for download on Gumroad for a VRChat model.
I made a hoodie and pants for a free model for Pride.

#Vrchat IDK how to use this app how do
Some quick screencaps of them walkin around in a non-vrchat related unity project. I like to do this to test weights and proportions, and it's just fun to get an idea of what they look like in motion. Great for rapid prototyping. #indiedev #gamedev #furry #furryart #unity3D
PHEW I've been busy!
On top of that, cooking up a new body that I'm very happy with :3
More soon <3

I also imported FastNoise github.com/Auburn/FastN... and created 3D textures from that. Made a lovely water caustics effect. #unit3D #shaders
I'm working on a shader/script effect. It creates 3D textures to execute some really pretty flowing animations. You give the script an array of images which it turns into a 3D texture and blends them all together. the shader then samples and deforms this using vertex position #unity3D #shaders
retopologized hands. again!
It's not because I don't want to, but the drudge of connecting with other people is just so exhausting. It's beautiful! I love it! But I'm not built for it and most times I can't reliably engage without feeling like I'm being silently scrutinized for my lack of knowledge.
Thinking about a new story. Creative work is a loop. Once you get to the end of a project, you find yourself back in the beginning of the next project, with the same steps ahead of you. But itβs also a spiral, you have learned a lot, there are new thoughts, you are evolving, on a journey somewhere.
making games requires expert execution in every department of software and visual development. with my design documentation, concept art and gimmick projects as proof, the only aspect left to respect is time. I'm trying so hard to be patient with myself. it's important to give yourself breaks :)
Unfortunately, I cannot work on this fulltime. I'd love to, but while IT support isn't exactly what I'd like to do for the rest of my life, I can't/don't want to leave. That said, at the end of most days, I'm exhausted, and using my brain after hours is kind of out of the question, lol.
I know I don't have much to share right now regarding what this "project" actually is or looks like, I tend to hold things close to my chest until they're ripe and ready for at least a tease or brief demonstration.
not much longer me thinks :3
show me 4 games that influenced your current project.
Lethal company helped solidify the game loop concept. Valheim's world generation just made perfect sense to me. Killer 7 remains a constant inspiration for style and absurdity. Control has a brilliant [REDACTED] and [REDACTED]

fair enough
this is a very good collection of vibes.
Frutiger Aero is a term I've only very recently been familiarized with and I'm thrilled.
cancelled yourself on Spotify? :0
esoteric psychedelic folk crowns the radical cascade of sound and energetic musical hijinks
instead, I'm currently focused on something probably way too ambitious for me, but I'm not going to let the volume of my scope dictate what I can and can't do. there's some naivety to that, but it's not like I'm in any rush either. art takes time, and it's this thought that helps me sleep at night.
I don't think I'll be working on public avatar work for a while. Not that I really have been for some time now, but I believe I've exhausted all of what interests me in producing these materials.
The leylinx was my next design that turned out way better than I thought it would. First finished mesh with a sculpting workflow, semi-high poly topology for smoothness with some low-poly techniques to pull off some specific details such as the polygonal fluff zealozoic.gumroad.com/l/LeylinxVRC
The Saekin was my take on a small-form lizard with a mature stature. The mouth visemes are manually animated to simulate a sort of 3D stop-motion effect. I made use of a unique lightprobe interpretation in a custom shader to execute a cartoon lighting aesthetic. zealozoic.gumroad.com/l/SaekinVRC
just posting some links to my successful items. first would be the kyomin. over-engineered but optimized and stylish. really loved how it turned out and continues to hold the bar high for a standard I don't even remember how I conceptualized to begin with lol
