Powering through the day, exhausted, because tonight continues the season finale of my #CryptidCreeks game.
Things are about to get even more deeply cursed. Unless you’re one of my River Scouts reading this, in which case that’s a joke and everything is going to be sunshine and not Eldritch at all.
Deep-cleaning the fridge today because I’ve been meaning to do so for weeks and finally clawed out the needed time to make that happen.

I’m admittedly a bit baffled that I’ve had to block a couple folks who had followed me recently who also proudly display that they ‘create’ using AI.
I have been very vocal with my disgust in ALL use of AI in its current form as it is unethical and harmful to the environment and communities. Shoo.
50 pushups on a whim yesterday have translated to a reasonably pissed off core today.
Progress is still progress, I suppose.
Today I learned of the existence of KFC-themed jelly beans and I find myself overwhelmed with the desire to unmake reality.
One of 3’s favorite toys to play with at my grandma’s house is the Anastasia movie tie-in toy train set from Burger King.
It’s the blend of bits of my childhood and seeing the joy he gets from it visiting my grandma that makes it special.
Right? Clearly I didn’t think that wish through well enough.
I asked for a thunderstorm, not a damn tornado watch. Good lord.
Forecast is teasing me with the possibility of thunderstorms and I’m just over here begging that to actually happen.
I need a good thunderstorm.
I’m getting better at, and more comfortable, doing full push-ups.
Unfortunately, the part of my brain that intercepts me asking “can I do this” inquiries with “should I do this” clocks into work sporadically at best and so I am going to feel some regret later.
Momentary victory, followed immediately by incredible frustration, and if that doesn’t feel like an accurate summary of 2026 so far I don’t know what would.

This kid’s life has been a hell of a journey and he’s such a sweetheart despite that.
I feel like I don’t get to share tons of good news, so as a nice change of pace here’s something good.
The tooth was able to be saved. New crown needed, and I’m not being charged for it - just the equipment used to rebuild part of the tooth.
$87 cost wasn’t ideal but it beats $350 any day.
I wish I had a normal level of stress when going to the dentist, but I’ve also had such remarkably shit luck with my teeth that I would rather help carry The One Ring to Mount Doom than deal with more bad news about my dental health.
One of the greatest treasures I gained from my time as the self-proclaimed 93rd favorite D-list D&D content creator on TikTok (from before I shifted away to other games and systems) really was the friends I made along the way.
Some really wonderful folks. Truly grateful for them.

I Knew I Shouldn’t Have Sat With My Foot Curled Under Me for So Long (And Now My Left Leg is Radio Static) - a tragicomedy I am presently living as I contemplate faceplanting my way to get a drink.
Adding a little nuance to this:
I used to get very inebriated and live-tweet TV stuff. I like to think I’ve grown and improved as a person since then, but that I also have work to do on myself. This username is more of a callback to that than anything else.
Also I prefer scotch over bourbon.
I am never more acutely aware of my username on socials than when I’m giving a positive response to something. There’s a nagging running commentary in the back of my thoughts saying it will be taken as me being a little shit.

It’s been a minute since I’ve used preworkout while lifting, often instead opting to have an energy drink.
Anyway, it was a good/bad idea because the heavy circles are extra fun to lift but I am also more jittery than a child who just sneaked a glug of espresso for the first time.

Dentist appointment tomorrow to start addressing the busted tooth.
My guess is I’ll be getting referred to a different oral surgeon to have it extracted and that they’re going to try talking me into an implant that I absolutely cannot afford.
Fun times.
