I spent years as a freelancer feeling incredibly removed from my local community. So part of this role is doing the work of reintegrating into that community around me and building the change I want to see on this tiny island.

Going to start ramming nails into my head, one a day, until they let me write HELLRAISER comics.
Phenomenal book.
Well deserved, dude!!
The cover art for the second printing of the first issue of IS TED OK? Ted sits at his desk drawing intensely and listening to Paganini on his headphones. The image is very pale green in hue except for the red screen. It's constrained by a panel with a cutaway in the lower right corner where the logo appears in white, all over a flat red background.
Beyond hyped to let you all know that the first issue of IS TED OK? is getting a second printing with a new cover!
I'm so tremendously grateful to everyone who bought it, read it, enjoyed it, and helped spread the word about this book. Means the world to me!

When you realize a much better way to write a script that you *just* sent to your editor.

Man, this is brutal. Richardson really believed in INTO THE UNBEING from the get go. He greenlit eight issues out of the gate when we explained that we wanted a big chunk library edition. That support really meant the world to me.
I guess this is a roundabout way of saying I'm the new Director of Community Connections at the Immigrant and Refugee Services Association of PEI. Moving from film programming to event programming (and still doing the film fest because I'm a glutton for work).
Started a new job this week and everyone just figured out that I write comics. Just held court answering burning questions about Age of X-Man. lol
One dude is bringing in his issues of Marvelous X-Men for me to sign. lol.
Thrilled to see people showing up for the new Vertigo books. Makes me very happy for the creators, retailers, and readers. Hope we can have new Vertigo books on the stands until I'm a very old man.
Bleeding Hearts 2 is out in one week.
It's really beautiful.

Have people received confirmation from TCAF on tables already?
He's right!
And yes, still writing comics and producing a film here. I donβt sleep.
Vertigo makes the industry a better place. It lends original books the marketing power of DC and enriches creators with successful books. Those enriched creators are in turn more likely to keep making books and paying other creators. Itβs a good system!

That's three for three on Vertigo #1 sellouts.. thank you to all the retailers and fans who've gotten behind these books, it genuinely means more than you know!

Fun thing about the Canadian film industry is that even the high budget films cap out at like 6 million CAD. Which would make them micro budget movies in the US.
