Casey Edwards β’M @ComposerCasey Follow ... NOTHING SPECIAL?! I think the phone call went more like "as you know Vergil is an extremely important and beloved character of this franchise. He needs a song to match." Me: **sweat nightmares and pulling my hair out for weeks** Kubilay @resonmon β’ May 29, 2021 @ComposerCasey Capcom: We need you to make another song for another character. It doesn't have to be anything special. Casey Edwards: Gotcha! Casey Edwards: Bury the Light
Every time I see those stupid βitβs just a silly game the song didnβt need to go that hardβ memes Iβm always reminded of Casey Edwards describing making Bury the Light for Devil May Cry 5
Happy Marathon Launch to everyone celebrating.
Calling AI "slop" has been one of the most effective instances of the public rebranding a product and it pisses them off.
A screen capture from Fallout 4 of a series of dilapidated row homes. Green text overlayed on the image reads [Everyone disliked that.]
Quite bold of you to leave the comments section open.
On the subject of the lack of opposition: Let me break this down as simply as possible.
They're hoping we'll forget about this in a few months and that we'll resubscribe to Nitro so they can get back their funding for this nonsense. Cancel yours and do not forget about this.
SAM ALTMAN: "People talk about how much energy it takes to train an Al model ... But it also takes a lot of energy to train a human. It takes like 20 years of life and all of the food you eat during that time before you get smart."
βEvil starts when you treat other people as things. There are perhaps worse crimes, but they begin when you treat other people as things.β - Terry Pratchett
back during the NFT bubble I gave a talk to a bunch of business students at a college, and there was one bro (EXACTLY the type of dude you're imagining) who was SO SURE I was just an out of touch old fart who was missing the bus on the future of art as a commodity. I often wonder how he's doing now
Painting of Link with a million little gadgets and weapons from across the games. I worked harder on this in a 5 week period than any other thing Iβve ever painted. I think I almost died working on this lol
Happy Zelda 40th anniversary!
There is also the A3-WD. Which is actually the one I've built in.
If that is what you go with, do what I -didn't- do and get an SFX power supply. Your hands will thank me for the extra room and for not needing to route extra-long cables.
An image of the Lian Li O11D Mini V2 - A dual chamber PC case with glass on the front and side panels. The glass shows off the components in the case, including RGB fans, an All-In-One liquid cooler with a display on the pump over the CPU, and a vertically mounted GPU.
An image of the Lian Li A3, A Micro-ATX case with a slatted front and a mesh side panel.
There are a few that lay down, but they're more expensive - And then there's the ITX Tax for SFF components...
I'm a tad biased, but you might have a look at the Lian Li O11 Mini V2 if you're going ATX. for MATX, I've built in their A3 before, and it is a pleasure to work with.
One thing I'll point out that your friend likely knows- Bear in mind the space you have to work with and plan accordingly. M-ATX or ITX is likely what you'll be shooing for size-wise, but I've seen some shockingly small ATX cases recently.
Most importantly: Take your time and enjoy the ride. :)
Me of two minds, there -is- the temptation to constantly upgrade. I personally temper that by making an agreement that I won't seriously think about it for 5-7 years.
I just did a build for my partner as a living room PC, and it's a significant upgrade while kicking the Xbox to the curb. π
I understand framing the AI bubble RAM supply crisis in terms of stuff like video game consoles because nerds can conceptualize that but the framing does really undersell the sheer magnitude of how it's going to fuck up everything that even touches a computer.
i have drawn Discord's awful mascot, Wumpus, crying in a folding chair in the void like Shinji from Neon Genesis Evangelion. He is surrounded by paper letters on the floor and raining from above. The text reads: PAPER MAIL IS HARDER TO IGNORE. Discord Inc. 444 De Haro Street, Suite 200, San Fransisco, CA, 94107, United States of America. BONUS: call them at 888-594-0085! source: discord.com/company-information (if they remove it it's on the internet archive)
they can't use chatbots or auto-responses to deal with paper mail. they can throw it away, but it can still be a problem.
you can buy single stamps at your local post office. π
source for address/phone number is discord's own site:

I'm tired. I'm so fucking tired.
Sam posing with his Matroyshka dolls. The smallest doll is tipping over like a domino about to hit the bigger dolls. The smallest doll is labeled "Designing a game Brennan can't win", and the biggest doll reads "Getting abducted in a van and taken to a medieval castle".
how far we've come
WHOS NEXT???!?!?!!
Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. Itβs always a matter of will not resources.
The image is a meme with three panels, using a scene from a movie to humorously convey a conversation about prosecuting people associated with the Epstein files. 1. Top Panel: Shows two characters, with the left one facing the camera and the right one seen from behind. The text reads: "prosecute everyone in the Epstein files." 2. Middle Panel: Features a close-up of the right character facing the camera. The text states: "if we prosecute everyone in the Epstein files, the whole system will collapse." 3. Bottom Panel: The left character is in focus, looking at the right character, with the text: "I already said prosecute everyone in the Epstein files, you don't need to sell it to me."
It had to be done.
The cover for the novel Shadow Cast, the first of the Zyearth Chronicles. It features two furries, a male quilar with white fur and azure-tipped quills, and a female with golden brown fur. The pair are in the woods holding magic Gems while being surrounded by dark, blobby creatures and glowing blue eyes. They look determined as they get ready to fight.
The cover for the short story Black Bound, the first short story in the Zyearth Chronicles. It features a half face close up of Matt, a white furry with blue tipped quills and strong green eyes. His Gem is in the gradient white to black background.
Zyearth is going to Wondercon! @wondercon.bsky.social
To hype up the event, I'm sharing the first chapter of a short story and a novel every Friday leading up to the event.
Today we have Shadow Cast and Brothers at Arms. Enjoy!

Split-image: On the left, a black-and-white historical portrait of Mary Winston Jackson (1921β2005), the pioneering Black aerospace engineer and mathematician at NASA who became the agency's first Black female engineer in 1958. She is shown in her later years wearing large round glasses, short curly hair styled in soft waves, large hoop earrings, a polka-dot blouse pr scarf with a brooch, and a warm, confident smile. On the right, a color scene from the 2016 film Hidden Figures, depicting actress Janelle MonΓ‘e portraying Mary Winston Jackson as a young mathematician and engineer at NASA. She sits at a desk in a classroom-like setting, wearing a bright yellow cardigan over a cream blouse, bold pink lipstick, gold earrings, with her hair in a sleek 1960s bob, gazing thoughtfully ahead amid colleagues in the background.#MaryWinstonJackson #HiddenFigures #NASA #BlackHistoryMonth #WomenInSTEM #JanelleMonΓ‘e #HumanComputers

I'm feeling ill and I haven't had a sale all month, anyone wanna buy a super cool fantasy book? You can even buy it direct from me so you don't have to pay Amazon anything! :D
This is starting to get like universal basic income where every single objective study shows the same result but the people who don't like that result go "uh, well there's just really no way to know"
Is it too late to get a refund for the 2020's? The first five seasons were all bullshit, and season six isn't looking much better.
It keeps fucking happening...
