Weirdly I think shutting the brain off requires some trust in yourself. If you know you won't forget it when it matters, you can have Brain Quiet Time.
It's so easy for things to be complicated because they are. But you also have to keep some things simple. If you're going to experience a lot of pressure somewhere, choose some things to be simple and unimportant. It can help to make rituals for it.
Simple pleasures are healthy. I find it is easier if I limit screen time, make time for going outside or reconnect with old hobbies. I can have thoughts about the ecosystem but I have to be able to watch a squirrel hop along a fence and just enjoy that.
I think there's a difference between analyzing and consuming serious, intense things vs doomerism. Is this keeping you from action or from enjoying things? Pattern connection is a good skill but so is being able to exist in the moment
