Sometimes having all things at once can be overwhelming, especially as a beginner, because there are so many things to try out. Maybe this would help someone. I like limiting myself, because it often allows me to find new unexpected sources of inspiration and solutions I can use in my regular art.

Limitations of traditional art materials made me be more intentional and precise with my lines and rendering, because there is less room for mistakes and corrections.

Limited color palettes make you learn mixing and understanding of color relationships better.

Working within certain limitations can allow you to develop your personal style and improve skill.
E.g. Photoshop doesn't have a good blending tool (at least it didn't when I was learning) so I had developed a rendering style that doesn't need this tool.
