Oooof. And I thought our three weeks between semesters was tight.
I’d like to petition for spring break to be two weeks. I’m now caught up on every thing, but there was no so called “break”
None of my exams stapled properly and now I need to hand staple 240 exams 🫠🫠🫠
Big thanks to @andrechemist.bsky.social and @louwojcinski.bsky.social for the positive endorsement/push of group quizzes!
We've done one group quiz in lecture; was one of the most amazing learning activities I've seen in such a large classroom. Students were fully engaged with one another and with the assignment for the full 50 mins. Today we're doing another round but with IF-AT cards....excited to see how it goes.
Woah. I knew you taught large classes, I didn't realize you were close to 1000. I thought my 250 class was big 😱
HOLY COW. I'll get 10, maybe 20 max. But never hit that high.
Really disappointed in Phillies social media that I don't have video of the Phanatic pretending to be part of Bad Bunny's grass actors yet.
Temple closed tomorrow 🎉
Same here. had always been able to see them until this past Tuesday.
*CAN'T*
Did anyone else's canvas update and now you can see prior attempts in speed grader? or is this a uniquely Temple problem 😭?

Goodbye gen chem II content schedule.
I’ve been attacked.

We do SciFinder and Web of Science training in our undergrad classes.
And the Schefter tweet.
The amount of mental task switching I've done today has my brain feeling like a wrung out sponge 😮💨
You should get these guys to make you “disappear” for your final exit!

Same here. My undergrad had a "Fine Arts or Language" requirement. So I took two art history courses instead of a language.
This is all helpful, thanks! I usually do the same about reaching out to students ahead of time to see how best to handle unique situations they might not have been exposed to before.
I like this idea! I also like @louwojcinski.bsky.social idea of doing a two parter. Will need to think about it some more and how to train the GTAs to implement effectively.
Do you have any issues with providing accommodations for extended time/distractions?
Looking for some new ideas for formative feedback opportunities in large gen chem classes (>200). We've previously done low stakes (<2% of the overall grade) quizzes the week before exams in recitations, but we've had issues with cheating recently. Anyone doing something they really like? #ChemSky
Me, a West Wing fan, thinking only of one man. #puthimonthebench
My first thought was Bard.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Just ate a meal with zero cheese in it and my rot week brain is very disappointed.
