For a hot moment I thought you’d taken your shoes off and I was gonna have to unfollow you. Thank goodness that was my old eyes playing tricks.

Possibly because Fargo will go remove the snow or ice and then charge it to the homeowner!

As a fellow pedestrian this sucks and I’m sorry. And thank you for trying to do something! Fargo has a report app that I’ve used a couple of times successfully.

Useful absolutely! The simulation graphs are difficult to see in tandem on a phone. Is it important to show all of them? Unsure. I think the last few screens were the $$ shot. Less is more?

These contracts b/t AI co and universities infuriate me. Our budgets are thin and declining, we can’t invest in the people who do the work: the teaching, learning, the support. Yet we can drop millions each year to companies that already have tax breaks and are raking in profits.

Hey you - yeah you! See below and then go write an abstract to join us in June. It's all online, and full of great ideas and inspiration.

And I will again ask for folks who live in solid, secure blue states to donate to progressive orgs in blue states.

Cantaloupe should win an award for most inconsistent fruit. When it's bad, it's like eating waterlogged cardboard, but when it's good, it's like candy.

I don't have a large following, but if you're reading this... hop off Bsky, look up your local commissioners, mayor, etc and write to ask them to publicly denounce ICE, to take a stand saying ICE is not welcome in your town, and they will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Repeat daily.

Let me tell you about the term jaywalker… drivers have been trying to blame pedestrians for decades for their own poor driving habits!

I’m headed to SICB next week for my first time ever, and I’m excited to give the Moore Lecture. If you’re there, join me to learn all about systems thinking in undergraduate biology!

At some point, we need a new model for higher education. Large courses need teaching - by good instructors who care about student learning. Sometimes that's a tenured faculty; often, it's not. I lean towards rethinking what can earn tenure, but it's hard getting buy-in writ large.

Hot on the heals of that amazing publication (srsly, go read it!), I am thrilled to teach a VIP course this spring! VIP = Vertically Integrated Project. We will integrate undergraduates into a project exploring study strategies across STEM. It's a CURE on steroids! #DBER #BER

Huzzah! @elhackerson.bsky.social and I have a new paper out on scrum in a CURE course. Read it because it's amazing and then use it because students need to develop these skills!

That’s the tricky bit! Maybe a young Witch of the Waste? It’s the broom - combines to look like a big ponytail or bun!
