Thank you. The physician and the nurses in the stroke unit were great once we finally got up there, but it was a long few days leading up to it.

Thanks, it really sucked, but once he got onto the stroke unit and got a bed (5 days after arriving to the hospital) he was in the ward for a week and they were great. Very attentive.

My partner had a stoke. He spent 3 full days in a recliner in the ER under bright lights that wouldn’t shut off. After I complained, he was moved to a recliner where they could close the curtain and make it dark so he could rest his brain for 2 more days b4 they had space on the stroke unit.

After those 3 days, they found him a dark area in emerg where he could sleep in the recliner 48hrs

he year is 2025, Alberta has successfully separated from Canada by buying all the crown land in the province from the Feds for $1 trillion dollars, we are already in massive debt... but it's ok because no equalization payments. The provincial income tax rate triples to accommodate all the lost federal services and transfers; yet corporate tax rates continue to drop. Our official currency is the "Klein" as all bills and coins depict King Ralph. A Klein is worth about $0,10 CAD. We have no military, just a militia of hunters and farmers with guns. They wear yellow vests, this strategy has yet to be tested in battle. You must eat oil for at least one meal a day; not just because the War room demands it, but because we have no way to ship it because we are land locked and never invested in refining a finished product. The US has their own oil and Canada is importing from anywhere else. Imported goods are incredibly expensive because we have no official trade agreements with Canada since we told them all to "F off". The minimum wage is back to $5/hr, unions are outlawed. Everything has been privatized yet still receives tax funding.
