Who got the first Doug for Alabama bumper sticker? @dougjones.bsky.social of course.
Had a great conversation with the College Democrats at UAB earlier this week. Thanks to Robert Gaines, Jr. for moderating and to the students who asked very thoughtful, and often tough, questions. Their voices are powerful and important - and frankly often over looked…..
Ron Sparks is running for Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries, an office he held for two terms. When Doug recruited candidates for the Ticket for Change, Ron was one of his first calls. Check out the Doug for Alabama YouTube channel later today for their full conversation.
125 years ago, Buffalo Rock started as a family business right here in Alabama. Now, it employs thousands and significantly benefits Alabama's economy. My team and I toured Buffalo Rock's facilities in Birmingham last week and were so impressed by what we saw….
This weekend, I visited my friend, Mayor Charles Andrews and his wife Linda, in Monroeville. Charles is recovering from a recent health challenge with the same strength and determination he's shown throughout his history-making life. See you out on the campaign trail soon!

When Doug is governor, he will be a champion for Alabama's rural areas, just as he was in the U.S. Senate. #dougforalabama
Great crowd at the NAACP Banquet in Eufaula last Saturday night where the theme was “Beyond the Ballot: Saving Democracy Through Advocacy.” Thanks to the Barbour County Chapter for having me as their keynote speaker.
Folks, I won’t be watching the SOTU tonight because I know it will just be more of the same dog whistle rhetoric that stokes division. I’m running for governor of Alabama because I have a different vision. I want to build an Alabama where everyone belongs.
Louise and I were saddened to learn of the passing of Rev. Jesse Jackson, a towering figure who was constantly working to bend the moral arc of the universe toward justice, and who never forgot Alabama. Whether fighting for voting rights, workers’ rights….

Special interest groups and their lobbyists in Montgomery run Alabama right now. What’s happened in the last two weeks proved that. I’m running for governor to give power back to the people of Alabama.
Happy Valentine’s Day to my beautiful running mate @louisenewjones. I love you 😍

Like so many of you, I was disgusted, and outraged with the post by @realDonaldTrump. Earlier today @votetimscott posted that this was “the most racist thing I’ve seen coming out of this White House.”
2026 is different in Alabama. You will have choices on the ballot in November. Get to know the Ticket for Change. #dougforalabama

Black History Month is always a time for honoring and celebration, but as I said in my keynote at the N AL Black Realtists Association/ Nat’l Association of Real Estate Brokers gala last weekend, this year feels different and should also be used as a clarion call for action.
Folks, the saga of Tuberville’s residency issues keeps getting stranger. Now we have the same issue for a candidate for Lt. Gov. Here’s the latest.
Last week, Sen. Tuberville’s primary opponent filed a challenge with the Republican Party alleging Tuberville doesn’t meet the residency requirements to be governor of Alabama. Doug got asked about that challenge last night. #dougforalabama
Thank you!! And we agree!!
We will have a volunteer kickoff in February. Sign up to volunteer at dougjones.com/volunteer
Remember the hope we felt on December 12th, 2017 when we elected @dougjones.bsky.social to the United States Senate? Remember when we showed the country that, even in Alabama, change is possible? Change is still possible. If you believe in a better Alabama, we hope you will join us.
We can take power away from the special interests in Montgomery by giving Alabamians the power to propose and enact laws and Constitutional amendments. A bill introduced by Rep. Lands does that. Call you AL rep and insist that they vote to pass HB14, “The AL We The People Act”
Today we said goodbye to Claudette Colvin, whose act of courage at age 15 was almost forgotten, but spurred Rosa Parks and one of the greatest movements for change. Claudette knew that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. I was honored to speak at her funeral. RIP my friend, RIP.
The signs from the kickoff went quickly! Sign up on our website dougjones.com and we will let you know when we have signs and other merch.
If you have a @dougjones.bsky.social sign in your window, guess who might show up? #dougforalabama
Learn more about HB 14 from Representative Lands. Let’s get this passed and give power to the Alabama people.
