This is the man that TERFs celebrate as the biggest protector of women's sports

There is an entire world of men in which the only difference between being an incel and not is coercive power, which explains so much about what’s wrong with them.
Secretary Noem offered assistance to New York ahead of the impending snowstorm.
I shared that the fastest way to help is for ICE to back off so people feel safe accessing warming centers, shelters, hospitals, and houses of worship.
Stephen Miller is a very sick person, more so, IMO, than the president. And he is calling the shots.
I remember when Terry Moran dared to make this observation and got fired from ABC for it.
Statement from Michael and Susan Pretti Parents of Alex Jeffrey Pretti “We are heartbroken but also very angry. Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital. Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. Unfortunately, he will not be with us to see his impact. I do not throw around the ‘hero’ term lightly. However, his last thought and act was to protect a woman. The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting. Alex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trump’s murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He had his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down, all while being pepper sprayed. Please get the truth out about our son. He was a good man. Thank you.
Kare 11 local news just read, in full, this statement from Michael and Susan Pretti, the parents of Alex Pretti.
"Please get the truth out about our son."
This statement reminds me of the Sandy Hook parents still being tortured by freaks who claim their children never existed
The right claims to be pro-family but are actively making parenthood harder for most people and a nightmare for some
Nuremberg trials for ICE is the moderate position
According to my sources, the FBI was initially open to a concurrent investigation with the MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (the state agency that would do this investigation).
Trumpy U.S. Attorney Daniel Rosen heard about this and intervened, barring the FBI from cooperating with local police.
Millions of Americans watched a middle-aged US citizen get shot in the face and killed by an ICE officer today. That's a level of national trauma that deserves a more respectful response from this administration than falsely claiming she's a domestic terrorist. We have lost our moral compass.
We cannot be more clear. Leave us the fuck alone.
AOC: What we saw today was a criminal murder a woman while she was trying to flee for her life. What we saw today was a manifestation of every American’s worst nightmare: their government turning into a tyranny.
ICE shot and killed a woman on camera today. We all saw the video.
The Trump administration is lying.
A must-read message from Colin and Sophie Hortman, Mark and Melissa's children:
I discussed this with @katiephang.bsky.social who posited that Pam Bondi might be "interpreting" the law to mean she has 15 days after all the files are released to provide her explanation for what she withheld and redacted pursuant to the law.
A significant reason we are where we are is that journalism’s job used to be to ferret out the ugly, blunt truth behind political veneer, and now that Trump just SAYS it, the press spend their time applying the veneer instead.
It makes absolutely no sense to speak of any necessity for the United States to take over Greenland. The United States has no legal basis to annex one of the three countries of the Kingdom of Denmark. The Kingdom of Denmark - and thus Greenland — is a member of NATO and is therefore covered by the Alliance's collective security guarantee. We already have a defence agreement between the Kingdom of Denmark and the United States that grants the U.S. broad access to Greenland. In addition, the Kingdom has made significant investments in security in the Arctic.

The Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen to the United States:
“The Kingdom of Denmark, and thus Greenland, is a member of NATO and is therefore covered by the Alliance’s collective security guarantee.” I “strongly urge the United States to cease its threats.”
Post a famous bathroom scene
Ah, “truly needy”, that scientific litmus
There’s gotta be a term for this. “Consent of the prosecuted”, or something, like if someone crimes hard and unapologetically enough, everyone just kind of goes, “wow, I can’t believe he’s just fine with all of it! Guess it’s fine?”
One reason Trump says & does whatever he wants is because every societal institution, including the media, has completely normalized & internalized the idea that the laws, the Constitution, & the international treaties we have signed & ratified simply don’t apply to this one guy. It’s maddening.
I see this all over the political margin map, like developing awareness of systems is consent to their values.
God forbid people understand the forces in the world with so much power to harm them.
I’ve subscribed to the concept of, “things I dislike that I have no desire to understand can still hurt me.”
Never has a President wagged a dog harder than Trump and MAGA now.
To distract from Epstein, the explosion of health and homeowners insurance costs, and the tariffs that are decimating small businesses, Trump is plunging this country into a war and using our soldiers as pawns.
God help us (and we’ll deserve it) when international order rights itself into a system where we’re as accountable as everyone else. The whole “The Hague is for everyone but the US” thing has got to go.
NB: When I, a professor of law, profess that an act is unlawful, I am not doing it to inform the lawbreaker, but rather to inform you, the reader.
So the question “what, like you think he cares?” is inapposite. The question is whether *you* care. I think you should, which is why I bother.
The older I get, the more I wonder: who are the people who actually are good at that?
I'm told that HHS has just terminated all funding agreements with the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Here's a letter HHS sent canceling one of the grants, relating to work on birth defects. Canceled because the project "emphasizes equity, diversity, and inclusion as key foundational components"
I can’t say it enough: Rob Reiner didn’t write any of these screenplays (well, he co-wrote Spinal Tap, which is famously mostly improv). He was a director whose stamp was making the words of others sing straight into your soul. It’s hard to grasp how generous a niche that is.
He's also responsible for raising all the money that paid for bringing Hollingsworth v. Perry & even more importantly Bostic v. Schaefer, which created the circuit split that forced SCOTUS to take on Obergefell v. Hodges. The role he played in American marriage equality cannot be overstated.
And looking at that list, he knew great dialogue needed great respect, great pacing, and great pictures. A man with an uncanny, hard to explain gift for making other people’s words ones that you would remember and quote for the rest of your life.
