It's not much of a milestone, but I'm hitting roughly the halfway point of my MG zombie tale now. Creepy things are about to happen!

Glad things are going well for you

Enough doom and gloom for once! Friends, tell me your good news! Let's celebrate our milestones together!
I'll start. People are enjoying my books, I have a lot to look forward to these next few months, and my life is pretty stable despite what the world throws at me!

Good day, #HorrorWritersChat! Spring is just around the corner, and at this time, I'm happy to be hosting tonight's event once again!

I hope you won't mind that this is going to be a self-indulgent one tonight! Because it involves a subject I specialise in and love.

The catharsis of Action Horror.

Thanks for another great #HorrorWritersChat!

If anyone's interested, all this month I'm running a showcase for morbid art and fiction and their inspirations. There are daily prompts and weekly chat questions, and writers are very much encouraged to use both to self-promote.

Phengaris, surrounded by a symmetrical pattern of butterflies and beetles

Thanks, Eryn. LOVED this topic.
Phengaris, takes its title from a very innocuous little blue butterfly, which parasitizes ants in a fiendishly inventive way.
A great deal of the horror is about arthropods, but also the ways humans can parasitism each other. #HorrorWritersChat

#HorrorWritersChat in the mood for something Gothic this spring? How about a story about a maid who goes to work for a mad scientist? Think Frankenstein and Crimson Peak had a baby together. Available in paperback, ebook and audio book.

I need to know if I'm writing tripe or not

They're thrilling

They're funny

And as my dear departed grandma would say

They're proper filth!

Thanks for the great questions, Eryn. Love a creature feature!

With the theme in mind I'd like to showcase my short story The Ritual: www.patreon.com/posts/ritual...

Full cover of A Fragile Thing. Back is black and white version of front.
Front shows a caped figure walking away from view against a backdrop of tall gothic buildings. A golden glow from lights spill out against the dark night.

Blurb on back:
Victorian London.
Isaac Bercow is a man with great aspirations, nothing to lose, and an offer he can't refuse.
Determined to make society notice - and believe in - his powers of mesmerism, Isaac finds himself caught in a trap of deceit, danger, and diabolical dealings.
The mind is a fragile thing, and fragile things are easily broken.

Thanks Erin! Since we’re talking wildlife today, my collection Next Door has tentacled terrors and earwigs by the thousands, and Revolve includes many critters in those stories, like the lovely, meaty snails I mentioned. 🐌🐌🐌.
