My adoptive parents didn't fuck up with me at all. I deserted them when I found my adoption papers at 12 years old. I completely withdrew from the family after that and did my own things. They did fuck up with the older girl as she had mental health problems but you didn't treat those in the 50s.

That's a 5 hour drive from where I live now and I drive a 26 year old car. I'm not up for a 10 hour round trip at my age. To get one from iowa,where I was born,mailed to me,it will cost like $50 which on a $1000 a month fixed income,I can't afford.

I don't have a birth certificate as I was adopted in 58. All I have are 67 year old court adoption papers that didn't pass muster for me to even get a real ID when I renewed my driver's license last year. What am I supposed to do? It would cost $ that I don't have to try to get one from iowa.

Any extra $ that I come across has got to go towards groceries! $97 a month on snap doesn't cut it!
