I set up a workout plan in Apple Fitness+, and it's mostly great except for one small but very annoying detail: It sends you reminders but you can't set the time. In true Apple fashion, you're stuck with whatever time it chooses with ✨magic ✨. I don't want to hear about it right when I wake up! 😴

This has happened to me too, and there’s frustratingly little you can do about it. In addition to being a very annoying bug, it’s an example of where iOS’ limitations let it down. On the Mac you can just delete stuff. On iOS, you’re stuck with weird hacks or guesses until/unless Apple ships a fix.

That seems like it should be self-evident, but apparently it needs to be said.

Finally caved and bought an Apple keyboard so I can have TouchID at my desk. It's such a huge improvement over typing my password or trying to get watch unlock to work reliably. I really hope someday they'll make a standalone TouchID button or put it in the trackpad!

SwiftUI peeps: Is it possible to create a view like the Apple Maps bottom sheet with a search bar at the top and no title using .searchable? I can't seem to get it to work without leaving an awkward empty gap between the search field and the top of the view.

If you used the Xcode 26 betas, make sure to go into Xcode settings and clean out the iOS 26.0 beta simulators that you no longer need. Mine didn't get deleted automatically and each one consumed about 10 GB. 😳

TIL: If you've never used Clean Up in the Photos app on the Mac, exporting a photo that's been edited with the Clean Up feature on iOS will fail. You have to activate Clean Up on the Mac in order to get it to download the feature, which then allows the export to proceed 😵‍💫

Whatever you think of the glass effect itself in xOS 26, I think it's undeniable that just this is a gigantic improvement. I mean, we've been complaining about lack of button borders in navigation for ~9 years.
