admittedly the ending of LOVE ETERNAL has me feeling all sorts of conflicted emotions

and the difficulty curve felt a bit All Over The Place at times

but I will be thinking about it for a long time, which makes it good art. easy recommend.

Today I played Love Eternal. Fantastic. Hardass, but fantastic. To say more than that would be to give the game away, and it's the kind of story you should experience blind if you can. Easily one of my favorites of the year! It uses the medium to its fullest, which is a rarity in video games.

The story is also really unsettling, disorienting, and wholly unique to this type of game. I was pulled into the world immediately and it really carried me through the challenging platforming sections. It really goes places, especially in the last 30 minutes or so, and shouldn't be spoiled.

Based on @andresplays.bsky.social and @patrickklepek.bsky.social talking about it, I played/ finished Love Eternal published by @ysbryd.net. And... what an experience. First off, I love the art design. The vibes are excellent and lots of beautiful backdrops to die in front of over and over again. 😅

Love Eternal - In stressful times, I find banging my head against a really hard game is quite cathartic, and this game provided! completely incomprehensible plot in the best way, and vibes are impeccable 9/10

LOVE ETERNAL is excellent. Knytt Stories if it was angry at you for playing it. Dungeon Experience is probably gonna be fighting with it for funniest game of the year

When I went to Tehran in 2018 for a game conference I hung out with game nerds, music weirdos, and queer folks with tattoos and colored hair, just like I do here. We got vegetarian food and watched goofy uncles play basketball in the park. I sure hope they can live to see a better day.

Just finished playing Love Eternal. It's more than just a well made precision platformer. I'm not good at these games, but I happily stuck with it because of the unconventional storytelling that uses games as materials to tell an experimental narrative. I enjoyed it a lot. Very evocative atmosphere.

I finally wrapped back around to finishing Love Eternal.

Play Love Eternal. It's so good.
