Over the years security at Province House has been beefed up considerably. There are security cameras throughout the building and outside the legislature. The place even has its own police force now. This is clearly an attempt to shield government members from being questioned or criticized.

Yeah, cool, so a short 🧵 about Halifax's finances.

Right now, after 14 or so year of taxes Halifax is at the precipice of a debt crisis which has the genuine potential to be destabilizing to our government. Most likely reforms instead of revolution but destabilizing none the less.

Why now?

So, in launching a huge bombing campaign on Iran they apparently didn't plan for:

- Who takes over;
- Interceptor shortages from sustained drone retaliation;
- How to defend US bases in the region;
- Threats to ships in the Strait of Hormuz; and
- How to evacuate Americans with airspace closed.
