While Israel keeps using the magic word ‘Hamas’ to try to justify its war crimes, it is crystal clear to anyone paying attention that the planned offensive is not about Hamas - but about completing the total destruction of every inch of Gaza and ethnically cleansing it of its indigenous population.
May I remind you that we've heard this rhetoric before, when Israel invaded Rafah last year. Back then, the army also described Rafah as the ‘last major Hamas stronghold’. Now, it has been turned into dust - but the genocide is ongoing. (2/3)
Netanyahu just told press that Gaza City and the middle areas are the last 'Hamas strongholds', which Israel wants to invade, control and thus intensify its illegal occupation of. Hundreds of thousands displaced Palestinians are currently crammed into overcrowded tent camps in those areas. (1/3)
