(and by the way, European figures has it 25% of sales for Resi).

I didn't make a guess.

I asked my data partners. And that's what they told me.

You're right, it's all early estimates. And PS5 being 54% of sales in Europe isn't going to be reflected everywhere.

But the data I've been told, is that PS5 was top for Resi.

No, because you said I only have 5 of Europe's markets.

I don't.

I have all of Europe's markets (and Australia). I have Ampere's global play data estimates. I have Japan's physical sales.

Because of those sources, it looks like PS is the No.1 platform. But it's close.

Well then. After 9 years my role of Editorial Director at Eurogamer/IGNE has been made redundant. If you’re reading this and feel I have a lot of valuable experience (I do), I’m keen to explore any opportunities (full time, consulting, other) in the games industry. I am great.

Personal news: I'm leaving my Editor-at-large role at Eurogamer & Gamer Network as part of new cuts. I last year approached my move to Eurogamer & VG247's skeletonization with reluctance, but I ultimately greatly enjoyed giving EG a go. But now after 10yrs & in difficult conditions, it's time to go.

- Nintendo has already raised the price of Switch 2, you just haven't noticed

- More redundancies at Eurogamer

- What to make of all the Asha Sharma fuss

- The Game Business Live returns

- In-game ads could be destined for pause and loading screens

So, although the idea you have to like games and be from games to be a good games leader. Well, actually, those aren’t prerequisites.

As for the first part, this came from a leadership piece with Strauss Zelnick. He doesn’t play games. He doesn’t really come from games.

But he knows what he knows and knows what he doesn’t. Surrounds himself with smart people. And says the job of the CEO is to create the environment in which…
