While missiles fly above us and explosions echo in the distance, the music in our safe room is:

Last night’s program included three sirens, a random number of missiles, and one very sleepless Nemo.
In times of war and chaos, beauty becomes a fragile thing. And that’s exactly why it matters.
Wishing everyone a peaceful Shabbat and safer days ahead.
Things you learn after two and a half years of war: How to recognize different types of explosions, and estimate their distance from you- just by listening.
Thoughts from the safe room: Try to imagine what the world would look like if this concept didn’t exist -
Somewhere between the alerts and the interceptions, this post was written. Because in Israel, even a post needs a protected space. New illustrated notes from life on the Israeli home front.

With everything happening here and around the world, sometimes it feels like I’ve lost something along the way. Maybe it’s fatigue, or overload, or maybe it’s something that got buried in the noise.
In war, disinformation is another front. So not every narrative deserves your trust.
I realized yesterday that since the beginning of Operation Roaring Lion, I haven’t posted any illustrations. So I’ll begin sharing the ones I drew, between the shelling, and sometimes during it. This is the first.
Purim is the reminder to the smile, and to pass it on. Even when the script looks dark, because
the ending can surprise us.
Happy Purim.
Life in the shadow of war is written in commas, not complete sentences. Each part of the day exists in the pauses between sirens and distant explosions.
It seems we can take out the noisemakers. Yes, now it’s reported as official: Iran’s Supreme Leader has been killed. A modern Haman. History has strange timing.
Between the missile barrages, I found time for lunch. Good times.
Apparently due to Israeli attacks on Iran, sirens were activated throughout Israel.
Everyone seems to know something. And at the same time, no one seems to know anything. From living rooms to television studios, the question is no longer “if” it’s only “when.”

As tensions rise, to a level that can almost be touched, fears of war and speculations fill the air. And yet, Shabbat is about to begin. My family and I enter it the decision to refuse to let fear dictate the pace of our lives.
Shabbat Shalom 🙏🏼

Right now, Geneva is where diplomacy reached a crossroads. Indirect messages, careful phrases, and deadlines hovering in the background.
The U.S. wants guarantees. Iran wants breathing room. Both want to look steady while the ground keeps shifting. And for now, the direction is still undecided.
Don’t argue with it! Don’t fight it! Don’t scream at it! Starve it, and let it die.

About two years ago, a child entered a building and never exited. Her name is Haimanot Kassau. And she was nine years old when her parents saw her for the last time.

Who would have believed that four years had passed? That nearly 20% of Ukraine remains occupied? And over a million dead and wounded. Four years in, no one is winning. But no one is walking away. And so it lingers, becoming just a background noise for the entire world.
My soundtrack consists of:
tanks, sirens, missiles, explosions.
Peace signs. Empty slogans.
Political debates that never end.
And somehow, they all hum in chaotic harmony.
I don’t usually recommend books. But Hostage by Eli Sharabi is different, because it's not just a memoir. It's a testimony.

Everyone is in a hurry.
Deadlines. Traffic lights. Headlines.
And then there’s someone just crossing the street.
