A familiar scene from our own conference exhibition stand there. But Iβd rather be at IMC!
Another #bookish jigsaw completed.
I have never seen that, although for two particular marriages in my family I wish such info had been recorded!
It was a privilege and delight to spend so much time in there.
Last time I was in York I dropped across this book, a substantial volume, and it had to come home with me! Chapter House Street was previously part of Ogleforth (renamed in early 1800s) and the book covers the whole block.
My favourite part of my favourite city in the best county on the planet! I spent many hours down there, under the white archway, in Grays Court. Now a hotel it was part of St Johnβs (university) when I was a student.
A bit about the new #AdaLovelace statue in our local community bulletin.

Thatβs about where I came across their story. I had heard snippets before but then started following their Facebook page.
A long story and ongoing.
Oh what a long story this is.
My summary. The guys were told to remove a painted name because of potential damage to the fabric of the building (fabric wasnβt actually medieval) but no protection available against such vehicular damage.
I am not on one side or the other, but follow with interest.
Ooooh, Knapdale. A beautiful area. Been there a couple of times to see the Beavers 𦫠but they always avoid us!
I think I need this book.
Another one!!
Why not? Because I already did and I love it β€οΈ
But first those who havenβt - buy, Buy, BUY!
Excited when this landed through my letterbox this afternoon.
Time to tuck in and enjoy.

I am enjoying the new website but will the Members Forum be returning? I do find Forums a useful tool for support and exchange of expertise and knowledge.
I remember using it, the ferry was a Sunday afternoon treat in summer. Usually New Holland to Hull direction. Although we lived equidistant between the two the drive along the southern bank of the Humber was a treat in itself. Driving off in the centre of Hull seemed excited too.
It became a highlight of my week. Thank you for starting it and for keeping it going.
Today marks 25 years since the horrific rail crash at Great Heck near Selby. I will never forget that morning and hearing my home village mentioned on the radio for such tragic reasons. Whenever I am back up there my thoughts go out to all those affected on that day. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
This morningβs Facebook memory. 11 years ago these were sprouting up all around us. #RichardIII
The morning calm before the readers arrive. π
Duke Humfrey's Library, 8.30am
I have passed by many times when visiting my sister-in-law in BoA but never been in. To be honest, hardly noticed as concentrating on the traffic and mini roundabout!
We had a dog who did that for any flying insect, including flies. He was a rescue dog, we think originally brought from Spain so we wondered if he had been stung at some point by a nasty flying creature. He certainly wouldnβt stay in the same room as a fly!
She has good taste! Looking forward to my copy arriving on the doorstep!
I had just noticed that, I am in Yorkshire for the weekend and spotted it in my cousinβs newspaper!
Looks nithering.
One of my Facebook memories today was that Tutankhamen was buried with over 140 pairs of underpants.
Congratulations, well done and all that.
But you mentioned jigsaws?
I have a copy on order. Looking forward to receiving it. There is quite a bit of Lincolnshire in my roots and I often land (virtually) around churches I hadnβt heard of before whilst doing research.
I snapped a blurry shot from the moving car on the drive home last October. I wasnβt driving!
I didnβt know what it was at the time and we hadnβt spotted it on the drive up (in the misty, mizzly rain of storm whoever!).
Todayβs unsolicited post. Cheerful βgood newsβ start to the day π
(And no, Iβm not interested, private arrangements in hand thank you)
Free gift was Robin stickers.
