For me, the silver-lining of hope with the NDP is that Lewis and McPherson have shifted to the left, hopefully they do that more. And, they might regain party status and regain local power. They should be acting with urgency to disrupt the status-quo, and not give props to Carney's DAVOS speech.
I definetly want him to improve, and he can. Also, its fine to vote for him as the least bad option. These are parts of larger statements that seemingly oppose agression. But, this kind of language invites on intervention. Also, its quite islamophobic and ignorant about Iranian politics and history.
I think Avi may be the best choice, but I would describe the entire process and choices as bad. The NDP are explicitly anti-communist, and theyre only as anti-imperialist as they have to be. All of them want to keep funding Ukraine, so theres a long ways to go still. They won't aid our revolution.

I don't really understand what the NDP is going to do, they're all war-mongerers. Avi is the only one that has slightly shifted on that, and McPherson has had to speak empty words about Palestinian suffering. I think it's a misunderstanding of what the NDP is, they purge communists and support wars.
I wouldn't even say Jack Layton was particularly good, just in the right place at the right time. McPherson is probably the worst choice, she wants to keep the tar sands open, fund Ukraine and uphold the military industries. I think they're all pretty bad options, but I guess Avi is slightly better.
