Another child has died under the same unregulated conditions.
This is not a historical issue.
It is happening now.
In 2025, the government confirmed it has no plans to regulate non-therapeutic circumcision of boys.
This decision was taken despite coronial warnings and court cases. https://www.secularism.org.uk/news/2025/12/government-greenlights-no-anaesthesia-circumcision-of-boys
A surgeon struck off for unsafe circumcision was then able to continue performing circumcisions as a lay person.
Removal from regulation increased risk. https://15square.org.uk/circumcision-remains-unregulated-in-the-uk/
UK judges have jailed men for causing serious harm to children during circumcision procedures.
Judges themselves have called for urgent regulation.Β https://15square.org.uk/circumcision-remains-unregulated-in-the-uk/
The UK has formal processes to learn from unexpected child deaths.
Despite multiple circumcision-related deaths, no regulatory framework followed.
This is a safeguarding failure. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cqj2r8x2k4yo
A short but important article.
It looks at the hidden psychological cost of childhood circumcision. The impact that often shows up years later, in silence, without support or recognition.
In 2010, baby Goodluck Caubergs bled to death after circumcision.
In 2012, Angelo Ofori-Mintah died following the same procedure.
More than a decade later, nothing has changed. https://15square.org.uk/circumcision-remains-unregulated-in-the-uk/
Mohamed's death was not the first.
At least seven circumcision-related baby deaths have been recorded in the UK.
Many more children have suffered serious harm.
These are documented cases, not speculation.
Yet the same regulatory gap remains.
Because circumcision is unregulated, there is no reliable data on how many children are circumcised, where procedures take place, or how many are harmed.
Action often comes only after tragedy.
Non-therapeutic circumcision is uniquely exempt from regulatory oversight in UK surgical practice.
No mandatory training.
No inspections.
No reporting of harm. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2026/jan/10/circumcision-classed-as-possible-child-abuse-in-draft-cps-document
Six-month-old Mohamed Abdisamad died following a community circumcision.
The coroner warned that without regulation, further child deaths were likely. https://15square.org.uk/circumcision-remains-unregulated-in-the-uk/
We have published a new article examining why avoidable baby deaths linked to circumcision continue to occur in the UK.
The risks are known.
The safeguards are absent.
The consequences are ongoing.

Many men feel disconnected from their bodies after circumcision.
That disconnection can run deep β physically and emotionally.
Reclaiming your life starts with learning, healing, and knowing your body again.

Strength isnβt about never feeling anger.
Itβs learning to face it, understand it, and transform it.
Healing means gaining control β not by hiding emotion, but by accepting it.

This Is a Sign to Stop Holding It All In
This is your sign to talk.
Whether itβs about your mental health, your body, or something youβve carried for years β release it.
The hardest step is the first word, but it could change everything.

Most people never see the battles men fight within.
The trauma, the shame, the questions β theyβre often invisible.
But being unseen doesnβt mean it doesnβt matter.
You deserve space to unpack what you carry and people who understand.
