I'm sure this is exactly the kind of bullsh*t that mayors of large cities want to spend their time on ... as if they don't already have enough to do.

When your picture hangs outside the building, they let you do it.

I'd love to hear her definition of "the right people" and "the right leaders".

The CBS Saturday Morning anchors just talked very emotionally about POTUS' racist post of the Obamas, with Adriana Diaz in tears. Considering CBS' recent news moves, I thought they'd gloss over it, but Diaz was especially critical.
This is heartbreaking. I went through the murder of my beloved partner, and one of the worst parts was when we realized he was missing and not knowing whether he was dead or alive. The not knowing is awful. I so feel for this family. I hope they get a resolution soon.

I hope all these good people who are resigning on principle are using their skills and knowledge to rise up and encourage others to do the same. These are talents lost to our government, but certainly not to our democracy.
I watched Clear and Present Danger (1994) before it leaves Netflix. The CIA's Jack Ryan (Harrison Ford) uncovers an illegal U.S. war vs. Colombian drug cartels, launched by the President's Nat'l Security Advisor. Some eerie similarities to today. One can only hope the endings are the same. IFYKYK
Where does @nbcnews.com draw the line? The @todayshow.com anchors are practically rolling their eyes as they constantly promote Wicked for Good by sister company Universal Pictures. And now @kristenwelker.bsky.social is interviewing director Jonathon Chu tomorrow on @meetthepress.com. REALLY?!?
Come to America, Andrew! There are no repercussions for any connection to Jeffrey Epstein here - well, except for the one woman involved. apnews.com/article/king...
A powerful piece. "These are not the kinds of actions that Iβm willing to risk my life to defend." www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...
What in the holy hell is this? A cyborg? A new Barbie? A blow-up doll?
Yes. I loved his emphasis on ethics and doing things the right way. Not sure how effective that is against those who don't give a s**t about doing anything the right way, however.
I didn't think I could admire former Justice Department special prosecutor Jack Smith any more than I do, but my estimation has risen to new heights after listening to him in this interview. www.youtube.com/watch?v=DR79...
John Oliver sounded the alarm this week on how secret donations to presidential libraries provide cover for bribery. We couldnβt agree more.
Itβs time to close the library loophole β and you can help.

I can't argue with his logic, even if it is a little twisted. bit.ly/3J6UXxk

The government works in insidious ways. For decades the League of Women Voters - the most nonpartisan group on the planet - has offered voter registration to new citizens at naturalization ceremonies. Now the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) bars that.
Just saw this on an NYC hotel website that is charging $600+ a night:
"Our hotel collects a fee of $35.00 USD plus tax per night to provide an in-room Nespresso Coffee Bar and Tea experience. In addition, two bottled waters are provided each day."
Apparently I'm not their target demographic.
Apologies - you simply posted it, right? You aren't the pianist, are you? I'm just saying the pianist should simply showcase the talent and not set up the fake circumstance of the girls approaching him. I did not mean to offend you at all.
Nah, I don't like the dishonesty of it. Just be genuine and make it clear that it was pre-arranged. No harm in that and it takes nothing away from the enjoyable display of talent.
Krasner: So, if what you have is a group of ICE agents, or even the military, coming into Philadelphia and committing crimesβassaults that are illegal, kidnapping, unlawful restraint, obstruction of the administration of justiceβthey can be prosecuted.
Worst marketing ploy ever. But I suppose the bros will love it.
It may be smoky from the Canadian wildfires tonight, but the vibe at Empire beach is Pure Michigan.
Thanks to the Traverse City stabber, I now know where Afton, Michigan is ... and nearby is a place called Miami Beach?!?
Man, when you see all the posts in tribute to Ozzy Osborne - ranging from Elton John to Pat Boone and Donny Osmond (!!) - you know the guy must have been something special.
One that would work for me is Marginally Better Homes & Gardens.
