Tourists! Come to Nova Scotia! Where there is no need for tourist information centres, since there will be nothing left to do except freeze your ass off on the beach and fall off your pub stool drinking awful Keiths while the microbreweries and wineries go out of business!

Shoutout to the genius who just drove on the wrong side of the road on Clegg Street to pass me, and then turned left on red on Colonel By, just as kids are walking to Hopewell School.

Has he been taking driving lessons from a City Councillor for Orleans, or?

OTD in 1944 the Red Air Force carpet bombed Narva, then Red Army used artillery to finish the job. As a deliberate act, hundreds of civilians died & thousands were made refugees. We then repopulated it with Russians.

Imagine something like this happening in the 21st century.

This aged well … good riddance, Kristi Noem.

I would recommend doing some research before your next gig! πŸ‘‹πŸΌ

In a rare moment of watching CBC, I hear an ad for the news with Adrienne Arsenault's voice saying "In this rapidly
changing world...." with a video image of Vladimir Putin.
(Putin has been President 26 years this month).
Next up: Andrew Coyne on this newfangled "social media" thing

Kristi Noem, you admitted under oath to me that you broke the law. Losing your job won’t protect you from accountability when we take back the House.

And the buck doesn't stop here. We must abolish ICE and make Trump and his entire administration answer for their lawlessness.

I shudder when I think of how many people were leaving Bluesfest at the same time, and trying to get home.

Should I offer Kristi Noem asylum?

I was hit by a car walking to the corner store at age 13, in Halifax, in a university neighbourhood. My younger sister and my dog were with me. I needed surgery. I'm very bitter about bad drivers.

Sad to say, I have grown accustomed to the idea that conservatives have impunity and it's shocking when there is accountability.

Some clown sent me an unsolicited DM (on another app) telling me I have serious mental illness

I didn't realize men were still doing this, it's so 2022

I guess I'm supposed to be insulted by ablist slurs but I didn't get that memo

I'll block him, but first I told him he was an amateur as a troll

Anna Akhmatova, Requiem
Albert Camus, The Plague
Serhiy Zhadan, The Orphanage
Simone Weil, The Need for Roots
Jacques Derrida, On Friendship

Plz add to list

This war isn’t an emergency that requires us to give the president more latitude. It’s a monstrosity that requires that judges, lawmakers and above all citizens work to preserve the integrity of elections and the republic.

How I arrived on BlueSky

And while I'm here, it would also be great if snowplows do not push snow into the pedestrian crosswalk and disabled parking spots in front of the Heart Institute, as this is hard on the HEART PATIENTS trying to get to their appointments and procedures. Gah! I hate it here.

04.03.2026 13:47 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 1 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Snow removal trucks, it would be great if you would not block all three entry points to the Ottawa Heart Institute at the same time just as patients are arriving, that would be great. @en.ottawa.ca

This is the second time in 8 days I've had trouble dropping off and picking up a HEART PATIENT

Next, he'll be debunking the myth that Brave Sir Robin was woke, and insisting that contrary to the radical-feminist-interpretation of the Canterbury Tales, women in Chaucer's time did not use the word "arse"

I really hope that @weirdmedieval.bsky.social sees that clip about the "medieval Marxists."

"Not a blank cheque." With one inarticulate phrase, the PM shredded his country's inconsistent yet mostly principled foreign policy, legitimizing a nuclear-armed, unconstitutional, mad dictator's aggression against another dictatorship.

Was it 24 hours? Seems like a lot of time. For what? A bachelor party? Shudder.

03.03.2026 19:15 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

well, my snarky thought was that anyone who is able to amuse themself in the Market for four hours is probably drunk and shouldn't be driving

03.03.2026 19:08 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

I also enjoy meandering and moseying in the Market, which is why I WALK or BIKE THERE

Make it make sense, that this dude requires four hours in a parking garage to permit himself to be spontaneous and enjoy the scenery

That statement on Saturday was a complete brain fart. I sincerely hope our government is not using AI to craft diplomatic statements, but I am not optimistic.
