Latest EA performance report on water companies found serious pollution incidents increased in 2023 and 90% were caused by four water companies including Southern Water. Total pollution incidents increased to 2,174 – the 2nd consecutive annual increase and most since 2019. When will this stop?

Government has broken the law on sewage, says watchdog The OEP has ruled that it allowed excessive sewage into England's rivers and seas.
