You can't scare me. I've lived thru the rise and fall of Friendster, Hotline, LiveJournal, Xanga, and the π¦ app. Your favorite Asian American Bay Area -> NYC transplant. Copy editor, but off-duty here. Musicals! TBTL! she/her

I was so agitated this afternoon. I donβt know if it was this or the coffee or my slightly new workload because I got moved to another team at work. (It wasnβt more coffee than usual!) Or everything!
At least I was working from home and could play with a fuzzy scrunchie all day
It's *Buonopane, sorry!!!
Todd, Jenny doll, and Matt. Todd (as Alex) is quietly horrified because it's the scene where Jenny confesses her love to HER COUSIN/MAYBE DAD
This was too big to post to Bluesky, but here's Matt with a Jenny doll. Ick but so funny.
Amy Jo Jackson managing to play both Rose and Giulietta
There was a point where Todd Buanopane hit a perfect Michael Ball vocal quirk and Iβm glad Iβd finished my food because otherwise itβd been up my nose from laughing
Todd Buanopane, Matt Koplik with Paddington Bear as Marcel, Amy Jo Jackson
This show is so bonkers that I can't believe I even got to see it once (over a decade ago at Walnut Street in Philly).
Video is allowed in the venue, so enjoy some bits. I know there was a livestream available that's good for a week, but I don't know if you can retroactively pay for one.
I didn't get this part on video, but I'm glad Matt brought up that the novel strongly hints that Alex is not Jenny's cousin but possibly her father. (He refuses to read it and I don't blame him!)
Matt Koplik's Broadway Breakdown podcast is probably my favorite of the genre, and tonight at his Green Room 42 show, he, Todd Buanopane, and Amy Jo Jackson did a deep dive into Aspects of Love β and it was wild and life-giving watching people react to plot points in real time.
a dirt-covered long mound of snow with cigarette butts as a disgusting border
nevertheless, she persisted
I had a hard time figuring out what to post for this prompt, if anything. I felt like most ideas fell under the reaction gif of that woman going on a face journey with kombucha
I was picked last in every team sport in PE except field hockey

Holy shit
Doooo it
Also a bunch of the OBC was there!!
Some of those kids are gonna be stars. Given the nature of the industry, though, maybe itβs that they should be stars, and we can hope
Just saw Come From Away at the Professional Performing Arts High School in Hellβs Kitchen, and the kids are super all right
You know, I do hope RFK jr doubles down on his Dunkin Donuts thing because historically, picking fights with Bostonians over access to their beverage of choice has gone real well.

One opened/owned one of the first Chinese restaurants in San Joaquin Valley!
One was an engineer, but dressed up as Chinese royalty the Golden Gate International Exposition as a last-minute replacement! (Cosplay didnβt quite run in the family, alas.)
Yeah, if I waited for someone to go with me to something, I'd never go to anything
I donβt have anything against Seth MacFarlane, he seems like a pretty good boss and I watch Family Guy and American Dad like everybody else. But seeing him on screen as a leading man often acknowledges that people from New England have sexuality and that makes me feel unease
This is fascinating. As someone who's never been in a relationship, it's also incredibly alien to me
