Wetlands are some of the richest, most protective ecosystems on Earth. We're working with farmers through the CRITTER project to bring back natural wetland processes: creating saltmarsh, freshwater marsh, and new habitat for overwintering and breeding waders.

We've started monitoring birdsong in Ilfracombe using acoustic sensors and AI to build a picture of local biodiversity and track changes through the seasons.
These early results from October show which species were most vocal.
The Hangzhou Strategic Action Plan (2026–2035) is UNESCO's roadmap for biosphere reserves worldwide—working together to tackle biodiversity loss, climate change and pollution.
