We finally had to design a vehicle that could travel by at least air and sea. So I decided to design part of the Silunar fleet. There’s a great bit of world building on the second sheet that I’m excited to explore further this year when I start some character design classes next month!

My final two projects were pretty big, one of them I had more planned but between work work and other activities I didn’t get it all done but what I did managed I love! I decided to stick with world building part of my homebrew D&D setting, Silunar; a great and ancient elven city

Oh my I completely forgot to update this! My finals class last year was props and vehicles which was nice. I’m mostly a props/enviro artist in 3D so it was cool to be on the other side of what I do. These first three were all surprise tasks that needed to be done within the 3 hour class.

Had to save the coolest piece for its own post. My final environment project I really set myself a big task to go from concept through to 3D. I started with a grey box, sketched over it, painted that out then used it for my 3D layout in UE5 - kitbashed from free store assets!

Oh I have loved this game for almost as long as it has existed. I’ve spent many hours making art of my characters and I just adore everything it has brought me. I would love to share that with others looking for commissions 💜🩵

Up next was a class on environment art and while that’s my bread and butter in 3D I do feel very rusty with it as a 2D artist. I got to learn a few new rendering techniques and try some different styles like photo bashing!

Long time no post!
I spent a lot of time this year recovering from burnout and slowly getting back to art, part of that process was taking a few concept art courses throughout the year that gave me the space a few hours a week to just sit down and make some really fun art with very little pressure.
Still working on ref sheets for everyone but here’s the main Nightsong sisters; Alyssanna, Mavrayle and Lyanna. Cover also shows aunty Maeleys and there’s also the gals’ parents Alannarya and Elyndir not pictured but sketches exist! 🩵💜
I couldn’t decide between the gold tip and the silver tip arrows but the good thing about gradient maps is they let you try out different colour pallets very easily.

This week’s challenge was more of a texturing one than a modelling one. Texturing using gradient maps! I used Vaella’s weapons for this one and my toonshader to give the textures a little more dimension!

Last week’s challenge was to create something in the style of a ps1 game. I made my home set up and managed to keep under 2k tris for the whole set up and all textures no larger than 256x256.
