This was an amazing show. Definitely not for everyone but it was right in my adrenaline wheelhouse

Interesting. Yeah, the events are all things I wouldn't want to go to either but the examples felt more practical to me. I mean honestly, if I host a party it's more likely to have red solo cups than an ocean waiter.

Maybe it's just a matter of what our brains prefer. 🤷‍♀️

For me the Art of Gathering, I liked that it challenged me on topics for example the fact parties should be exclusive. While I'm not sure I agree, since my default nature is to want to include everyone and be nice and not make anyone feel left out, I appreciate a counterpoint that made me think.

I guess for me I didn't like the Gift because it very much meandered around the point. Like I didn't think the premise was bad and there were good points but I found it very hard to read. All the analogies and folk tales just cluttered up the message for me.

I mean I liked it better than The Gift. 🤷‍♀️

Spending the night in my new apartment in LA, dreaming about creating immersive experiences. Quitting software engineering has been so good for my mental health.

It's hard to explain without spoiling it and I don't know if they'll run it again. But it was an immersive show called The Pineapple about seeing aliens in a seedy airport motel in New Jersey. It was a bit scary, funny and erotic at the same time. www.instagram.com/p/DQlNyPfjiho/

In writing this I forgot I went to LA for a few days in this too to go do some haunts and immersive experiences. The Willows is a treat if you find yourself in the area when it's running.

I just got done with a 6 week travel extravaganza in which I played in multiple Live Reality Games, Went to Montreal to play some of the best Escape Rooms in the world. Went to Austin for work and Went to NYC for a weird pineapple experience.

Gates 20 to 22 evacuated at Austin Airport. Not sure why

Off to LA for a whole bunch of immersive haunt and haunt adjacent things, including Halloween Horror Nights, Delusion and The Willows. Hoping to squeeze the 17th door in there if I get time as well.

First scrimmage tonight since December! Shoulder held up well. Pretty rusty and still struggling to find my skates sometimes, but it's nice to be back.

Heading to Pennsylvania to attend Miskatonic University for the weekend. Hoping to maintain what's left of my sanity.

Spent the evening learning how to sew on suspender buttons. It's a thing I never knew I'd do, but I'm glad I learned.

Now I'm ready in case belts ever disappear and we all need to go back to wearing suspenders.

I haven't gotten a chance to travel with mine yet, but I can't wait for the day I fly with it. I'll just walk through the terminal with it enjoying the chaos.

Though I'm not sure how many people who haven't been skydiving would actually recognize it as a parachute.

Tonight in NYC, I have obtained a VHS tape, a Polaroid photo and a scarf from the Russian revolution.

In the last month and a half, I have gone from never having taken a theater class to having a conversation about Brecht and gender in a New York City speakeasy. Hyperfixation is a hell of a drug.

Took in both the Squid Games Experience and Death of Rasputin today.

Squid Games was surprisingly fun for what it was.

Death of Rasputin was really good. My favorite thing I've done so far on the trip. Thinking of finding time to go back

It's my first night in NYC. On my way to go see some late night ledgerdemain.

This week I finished Lennox Mutual, an immersive experience that took me 14 months and 30+ phone calls.

It ran the gamut of making me laugh to breaking my heart, but most importantly it never stopped surprising me.

Anyone can do it (and you should). All you need is your phone.
