A digital drawing of author Maia Kobabe, a white nonbinary person with short brown hair wearing a patterned blue shirt, who scowls while holding up a copy of eir book GENDER QUEER: A MEMOIR. Maia is saying: H.R. 7661 is a national book banning bill which seeks to remove any book that "involves gender dysphoria or transgenderism" from all public schools in the US. This would ban my books, and any other book with trans themes, from public schools. PLEASE call your House Reps and say: NO ON H.R. 7661!

AWW I'm glad you found us again!! It's so lovely that you have good memories of Always Raining Here. (working on it definitely inspired that post. ๐คฃ)
The ring (their favourite ocs and the 300+ page comic story they've been dreaming of for years) is too tempting ๐
I hope you like the new version and it gives you lots of nostalgia!! It makes us feel so happy that ARH is close to many people's hearts.
Thank you for supporting us!! ๐ญ๐
Megu!! thank you ๐ฅน
I wish there was a version available for the Brazilian Portuguese readers!! I know some online stores ship the english edition worldwide, but it's pretty expensive.
thanks Sam!!! ๐ซ
Cover of Always Raining Here, showing our two main characters leaning on each other at a bus stop in the rain.
Always Raining Here is in bookstores in now! This is a graphic novel adaptation of our BL romance webcomic featuring redrawn interiors and new bonus comics! us.macmillan.com/books/978125...
That sounds like a very intense experience for your first comic! I'm glad it all worked out for you.
haha it's a pretty basic comic-making lecture!! It's mostly just "make an outline" "make your art at 300 dpi" "avoid giving yourself repetitive stress injuries"
i am a FOOL who doesnt understand INEQUALITY SYMBOLS
I fixed the incorrect use of > in the image! Please refer to this one instead.
I'll add to it, a lot of people want to make "their baby" as their first project, so encouraging them to start by making something smaller and less emotionally important to them keeps them from getting discouraged when their project doesn't end up looking the way they might have envisioned.

that's a great place to start!! Especially if you have a "baby" project that you're really invested in making a long-term thing!
figures the one post i make that pops off is the one where i demonstrate my cripplingly poor grasp on math
The advice is based on the idea of your first 30 pages are the part of your comic where your skills undergo the most dramatic transformation. If you keep these 30 pages in a standalone comic, you avoid the urge of going back to redraw these pages which stagnate or halt your comic creation process.

*rattles around like the ghost of christmas future* ๐ป heed me ... I was mistaken.... my usage of > was incorrect ...do not make your first comic longer than 30 pages... ๐ป
That sounds very familiar (Hazel had to redraw the first 80 pages of Always Raining Here too)
advice i didn't heed when making my hundred-something episode long webtoon canvas comic as a teenager but it's definitely good advice. do not act as i did, heed the warning
Now you are like us, cursed to repeat this mantra to all the young webcomic creator potentials who come after you, like a rattling ghost
