Australian GP: Tough opening race for Williams F1 Team

My hopes for Williams in todays Australian GP. Firstly just hope we can see both cars finish the race. Points don't really think that is a possibility but maybe a finish just outside the top 10 would be great to see.

How Williams’ Owner Is Driving Value as F1 Rises in U.S. Under Dorilton Capital, Williams has appreciated more than 900%. Its owners see even more growth on the horizonβ€”if they can start winning.

Great read about how Dorilton views Williams F1
since they purchased the team and also its future.
Dorilton's Savage commented: β€œ .. I’m happy to back ourselves. I’m happy to back our team to go get them.”

I am like you. Very unimpressed by quite a few of the changes.

A very frustrating FP3 for Williams in Australia. Reliability issues again seeing Carlos not even set a lap time while Alex was to briefly stop out on track. Thankfully he was able to keep going and do Quali sim finishing 17th. But it was a compromised lap being hampered by a few other cars.

Bit of a backward step between FP1 & FP2 for Williams. Dropped own the order but I suppose time wise we are still over 2s off. Does not bode well for the rest of the weekend. Changes can be made so I will wait until FP3 to say anything about our prospects for Sunday's race in Melbourne.

Well that is FP1 in Melbourne completed with Carlos 12th & Alex 15th. Alex had a hydraulic issue which saw him stop out on track.

A session not as bad as I thought it could have been. Yes the top 4 are still ahead but at least Williams is right in the midfield fight. But it is just one session.

I hope you are well and truly prepared for where this will go. I did that for about 12 years with my son. Got up to the national level and then the money ran out.

How things are so different from when I started my interest in F1. Back in the early 1970’s I bought a poster of Jackie Stewart and it all started from there. But for the first few years the best I had was a magazine that came out once a month. But didn’t I love that magazine.
