Saying the anti-abortion stance for conservatives "isn't about life, but control" isn't a dig. Rather it's simply restating what conservatism prioritizes in *all* of its values and policy stances. It's the nature of conservatism: protect the control of those rightly atop from usurpation from below.
And conservatives or right-wing persons can try to argue their traditional hierarchical order is ultimately the most just or prosperous or beautiful. But they're also the ones most likely to *devalue* innocent life and to see human costs as necessary sacrifices for the glory of God, nation, tribe.
