It is! I haven't gotten around to de-stickering it yet. I usually do them in batches. ๐

To close out the year, here are all of December's #gamecollecting pickups! I'm so grateful to have finally crossed a few of these from the list.
2024 may be a wrap, but #retrogaming lasts forever! ๐ฅ
Bob has seen things you wouldn't believe.
Oh, the Lego games would be a great subset to shoot for! I don't think I've ever actually played one myself, but I know folks who grew up with and still go nuts for them.
Not as much as you might think! This was accumulated over four years. I'm always looking for good deals so I end up passing on a LOT.
Bronya was always the obvious choice, though she's been power-crept a bit by newer turn-advance Harmony units. I'd pass on her for now if you have both Sparkle and Sunday.
Himeko remains a good get, especially for Pure Fiction and related content.

Let's talk subsets!
Do you collect for a particular genre, publisher, series, system, or year?
I've always had this thing for factory sealed PS1 & PS2 games, especially (pre-2005?) releases with the white security seal. They're like little time capsules!

Lately it's been Hakchi-modded NES/SNES Classics, as well as ODE-modded PS1 & Dreamcast. Perfect blend of authentic feel and convenience.

I picked up a game with an interesting history! ๐ฆ
The NA release of Bubble Bobble Revolution contained a bug, rendering it unplayable beyond level 30. Codemasters would ask that players return their original copies in exchange for this rare [USA-1] variant.

What a game. Easily one of the best on the console. Good on you for keeping it!
I love seeing other people show off and gush about their collections. Nothing wrong with it!
๐๐ฆ
Looking at the price now, that was a solid investment! ๐
Ah, so sorry to hear you had to part with it, but at least it was able to help you in a time of need. ๐ฅน
GIFs you can hear. ๐ถ
But hey, that's the most important part! If only we'd known as kids what some of these games would be worth complete. ๐
That's also on my list, but good god, is it expensive...
Well said! You're getting me all hyped to play it now. ๐
You're right about that!
My first was Mystic Quest, unfortunately. It's a wonder I became a fan of the genre after that. ๐
That Amano box art. ๐
That's so cool. I'll bet it felt so revolutionary at the time.
I sometimes think of the impact Chrono Trigger had on the genre, and what it would have been like had FFVI not released a year earlier. ๐ค
What are you waiting for? Do it. Don't think. Just do it. ๐
Thanks for sharing! I have similar memories of wanting to rent it as a kid, but the only copy at our local rental place being out every. single. weekend. ๐ญ
I'll confess, I've never actually finished it, only played the first half probably three-ish times over the years through emulation.
But this time's for real! ๐โโ๏ธ
Way ahead of you! I have one or two other games to finish first, and then I'll pardon it from its plastic prison just long enough to play it. ๐ซก
Aaahh, that's awful. TIL as well. ๐ญ
The what now? ๐

I finally acquired one of my all-time grails, Final Fantasy III (VI), for the SNES! ๐
Been patiently looking for a copy for years, but wasn't willing to overpay just to have it. I can't wait to experience it on original hardware for the first time!

Asciiware did in fact make one for the SNES, the aptly named Super Advantage!
Pokemon TCG on the OG Game Boy for me. ๐ด
